Cancellation Policy<br />

Please note that all speakers and topics were<br />

confirmed at the time of going to press. However,<br />

circumstances beyond the control of <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations<br />

of the speakers and or topics and /or<br />

event. The organiser reserves the right to alter,<br />

add or subtract from the content and to change<br />

the speakers or topics if required. Any substitutions<br />

or alterations will be updated on our website<br />

in real time and on the final brochure in the conference<br />

file. Delegate substitution is welcome.<br />

However, <strong>Renaissance</strong> must be advised of the<br />

substitution forty-eight (48) hours prior to the<br />

event.<br />

Cancellations made within seven (7) days of<br />

<strong>Renaissance</strong> receiving the signed registration<br />

form, will be subject to a 25% administration fee.<br />

Thereafter the delegate/booking organisation<br />

accepts full liability for the total registration<br />

amount due. Cancellations received in writing no<br />

later than seven (7) working days prior to the<br />

conference will entitle delegates to receive a full<br />

credit to be used at another <strong>Renaissance</strong> event<br />

valid for up to 12 calendar months from the date<br />

of issuance, should payment have been made for<br />

the event. Failure to cancel in writing and on time<br />

will result in a forfeiture of the full amount paid.<br />

In the event that <strong>Renaissance</strong> cancels an event,<br />

delegate payments at the date of cancellation will<br />

be credited to a future alternative or similar event<br />

to the same Rand value (client to select). This<br />

credit will be valid for up to 12 calendar months<br />

from the date of issuance. In the event that <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

postpones an event, delegate payments<br />

at the postponement date will be credited towards<br />

the rescheduled date. If the delegate is unable to<br />

attend the rescheduled event, the delegate will<br />

receive a full credit towards a future <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

event. This credit will be valid for 12 months from<br />

the date of issuance. No refunds will be available<br />

for cancellations or postponements.<br />

In rare cases some gadgets may not be available<br />

during the event, however, delegates will have<br />

the gadgets posted to them after the event<br />

<strong>Renaissance</strong> is not responsible for any loss or<br />

damage as a result of a substitution, alteration,<br />

cancellation, or postponement of an event. <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

shall assume no liability whatsoever if<br />

this event is altered, rescheduled, postponed or<br />

cancelled due to a unexpected event, unforeseen<br />

occurrence or any other event that renders presentation<br />

of the event imprudent, illegal or unfeasible.<br />

Examples of unforeseen occurrences shall<br />

include, but shall not be limited to: an act of God,<br />

Institutional regulation, ban, suspension or restriction,<br />

war or apparent act of war, terrorism or<br />

apparent act of terrorism, disaster, civil disorder,<br />

disturbance or riots leading to or resulting in the<br />

disruption or curtailment of basic services such as<br />

transportation and or any other emergency. <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

does not have to prove that it used its<br />

best endeavours to avoid rescheduling, cancelling<br />

or altering an event for the client to hold <strong>Renaissance</strong><br />

harmless from all costs, damages and<br />

expenses which are incurred by the client.<br />
