dates are TBD at this time.
We are projecting these registration
dates tentatively as: Tuesday
September 7, 5:30 - 7:30
PM at Camels Hump Middle
School; Thursday September 9,
5:30 - 7:30 PM at Browns River
Middle School.
Finalized dates and times will
be published prior to these dates
via personal mailings, postings
and flyers at local stores, etc...
and on our Web Site at
www.mmybl.org. Please be on
the lookout for these notices and
be sure to get your child signed
up as soon as possible.
The MMYBL is committed
to the physical and developmental
well being of children in the
Chittenden East School Union
and works in conjunction with
the Mount Mansfield Union
High School Basketball program.
Children in grades 1 - 8 are encouraged
to participate. There
are two leagues to consider for
your child.
The Recreational League is
intended to provide base basketball
skills learning with an emphasis
on skills development,
teamwork, positive attitude and
fun. There is a once a week
(grades 3 - 8), one hour practice
during the week with games on
Saturday mornings. Grades 1
and 2 play Saturdays only.
The Mini-Metro League
(grades 5 - 8) is intended to provide
a more advanced basketball
agenda based on skills development,
teamwork, positive attitude
and winning. Kids are selected
for the teams based on
their abilities. Not all kids will
necessarily make the teams.
Children are expected to make
all practices and may play very
specific team roles.
Practice is multiple times during
the week. Games are Sundays
against various towns in
the nearby vicinities. Be sure to
look for these registration opportunities
in the near future and
be prepared to watch your child
grow and have fun during the
winter months. For more information,
