In October 2010, AMMACHI Labs conducted a pilot training of the Fabric Painting course in Parippally MAM Home for Children on Oct. 30,<br />
2010. A total of 12 participants (students from grades 10 through 12th) attended the training. This study demonstrated the varied impact<br />
computerized training has on individuals with higher levels of education and those who have prior experience with computers. The course<br />
was effective in raising the self esteem of the students.<br />
In August 2011, AMMACHI Labs delivered for the first time, the complete Assistant Plumbing course based on the Modular Employable Skills<br />
(MES) syllabus at Amrita University, Amritapuri, Kerala. Participants consisted of 7 women. For the first time, this pilot combined cVET with<br />
Life Enrichment Education (LEE), which empowers students to be confident in themselves and their new profession through soft-skill training.<br />
The combination of cVET and LEE, contributed significantly to the success of the vocational training outcomes. All 7 students successfully<br />
completed the course (which included a 3 month apprenticeship), and received immediate employment in plumbing.<br />
