Each participant received a range of learning opportunities<br />
during the training, including a visit to a local industry<br />
engaged in a similar business to what was taught in the<br />
course. This visit allowed participants to see the skills they<br />
learned in action, and to ask questions of business owners<br />
and employees about their experiences in the field. This<br />
was a crucial part of the WE Project, and served to inspire an<br />
entrepreneurial spirit and courage in the participants.<br />
Each participant who successfully completed all of the<br />
components of the course received a formal certificate from<br />
Amrita University. This certificate is proof positive of their<br />
skills and can be used to avail public services, secure bank<br />
loans for business, etc. The confidence and support that<br />
comes with this certificate is equal if not more important, to<br />
its tangible benefits.<br />
A formal, large-scale exhibition is an effective way to promote the WE Graduates’ business capabilities. Five such expos were held, including<br />
four at the Amrita University headquarters and one in Coimbatore, the second largest business center in Tamil Nadu. The positive impact of<br />
bringing together graduates from all of the centers, allowing them to express their creativity and new skills in a large arena and to receive<br />
instant feedback for their hard work cannot be understated.<br />
