2. SURAH AL-FATIHAH (Verses 1-3)<br />
In the first row of the table below, Arabic text is giv<strong>en</strong>. The second row contains word-for-word<br />
translation. This is followed by the explantion of the words in the third row, and the fourth row has<br />
plain translation of the Arabic text. Recite the complete Arabic text first, th<strong>en</strong> read each word along<br />
with its translation, and at the <strong>en</strong>d read the tranlation of the complete text.<br />

� First feel the insecurity caused by the attacks of Shaitan. He constantly whispers and<br />
instigates us to disobey Allah.<br />
� Feel happy and have hope as well as fear wh<strong>en</strong> Allah is m<strong>en</strong>tioned.<br />
� Allah is high up in the sky but He is very close to us. He ev<strong>en</strong> knows what we think.<br />
� Feel the pres<strong>en</strong>ce of Shaitan and of the two angels who are always with us.<br />
� We cannot hit Shaitan, nor kill him, nor convince him to become good. He will always try<br />
to take us away from Allah. The only solution is to recite the above.<br />
� Why is Rajeem m<strong>en</strong>tioned? So that we always keep his status alive in our mind. This<br />
Rajeem wants us to follow him and become like him.<br />
Now let us start Surah Al-Fatihah.<br />
