other's Day is a modern celebration honoring one's own mother, motherhood, maternal bonds, and
Mthe inuence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, but
in Ghana, the rst Sunday in the month of May.
It complements similar celebrations honouring family members, such as father's day and siblings' day
elsewhere.
Over the years, the celebration of Mothers in Ghana has been characterized with showering our mother's
with gifts cards, items, taking them out to special places and perhaps what the individual feels will make
his or her mother happy on that day.
Simply put, it's a day where the world does everything humanly possible to make our mother's feel they
are very much appreciated for their support, nurturing and pep talk through life.
On this special day for our mothers and motherhood in general, we urge you to put a BIG smile on that
woman's face. Let her know , her efforts to shape your life has never been in vain . And yeh right,
sometimes we know we step on their toes here and there .It’s ok to use this opportunity to say sorry to her
and make her day bright on this special occasion.
