Sembcorp Marine clinched two prestigious accolades – Sustainable Business Award (Top Honours) and Best<br />
Annual Report Award (Silver) – in the month of July <strong>2012</strong>, in recognition for its excellence in sustainability and<br />
corporate transparency.<br />

Annual Report Oscar<br />
Recognised for its high corporate disclosure standards,<br />
Sembcorp Marine received the Silver Award for the Best<br />
Annual Report <strong>2012</strong> for firms with market capitalisation<br />
of $1 billion or more during the 7th Singapore Corporate<br />
Awards held at Ritz-Carlton Millenia on July 17.<br />

Distinguished for its high standards of business excellence<br />
and steadfast commitment to corporate social responsibility,<br />
Sembcorp Marine was the sole recipient of the Top Honours<br />
distinction for the Sustainable Business Award (Enterprise<br />
category) at the Singapore Sustainability Awards Ceremony<br />
organised by the Singapore Business Federation on<br />
July 3, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
The event, which recognises<br />
sustainable business practices and<br />
green solutions of Singaporean<br />
companies, was held at the Sands<br />
Grand Ballroom at Marina<br />
Bay Sands and graced by<br />
Guest-of-Honour Mr S Iswaran,<br />
Minister, Prime Minister’s Office,<br />
Second Minister for Home Affairs<br />
and Second Minister for Trade and<br />
Industry. Sembcorp Marine was<br />
selected for the award based on<br />
its sustainable business practices,<br />
pro-environment operation,<br />
corporate responsibility and<br />
innovation by an independent<br />
panel of judges comprising IE<br />
Singapore, KPMG Advisory LLP,<br />
National University of Singapore,<br />
Singapore Compact for CSR,<br />
SPRING Singapore and Singapore<br />
Business Federation.<br />
Sembcorp Marine was awarded<br />
Top Honours distinction for<br />
the Sustainable Business Award<br />
(Enterprise category).<br />
Dubbed as the “Oscars” of Singapore’s corporate world,<br />
the annual awards event is organised by The Business<br />
Times and supported by the<br />
Singapore Exchange. More<br />
than 600 business executives<br />
were present at the awards<br />
ceremony, graced by Guest-of-<br />
