In 2010, Gianfranco and Sergio Valsecchi have decided to create a new collection for interior
design market, under the artistic direction of Enrico Baleri.
The new Brand Valsecchi 1918 was born: the year of establishment of the first production unit,
1918, has been associated to the character of Pinocchio, as in the 30’s the company was a wooden
toy manufacturer.
Under the new division, our Designer Luigi Baroli has created Stickcollection.
The line combines the use of Valsecchi spa technology with new design philosophy where detail of
quality, ergonomics, ecology, discretion and lightness are imperative.
A collection designed for outdoors but also to decorate interiors of traditional house that can easily
be extended also to the public fittings, the community and the furnishings of great outdoors.
As Alessandro Mendini writes: “This is really a pleasure. To see authentic furniture today,
designed nowadays but just as real as they used to be…”
STICKCOLLECTION
STICKCOLLECTION is a tribute to wood,
deftly used, with discretion and delicacy.
In no few details, its quality and beauty
propel it into the future,
drawing on noble origins of furniture...
first Habsburg, and then Scandinavian.
The ground support of the sticks, the stylistic feature of the collection,
is a thermoplastic rubber foot, giving a soft, smooth rest,
hushed silence on the floor, and easy cleaning.
No mean feat!
