HOD Referral: Issues in lessons<br />

The blue sheet must be given to the HOD<br />

HOD will action it within 24 hours (as far as possible)<br />

HOD will in<strong>for</strong>m you of his/her action<br />

Should you not have feedback within 24hrs please remind the HOD<br />

HOD will pass it onto the HOY noting if it is <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation or requiring HOY Action.<br />

HOD will keep a record of concerns issued<br />

HOD will review concern/praise issues as a set agenda item at departmental meetings.<br />

HOY Referral: PSE, behaviour in the Form, uni<strong>for</strong>m, serious behaviour NOT in lessons<br />

HOY will keep a record of concerns issued<br />

HOY will review concern/praise issues as a set agenda item at Tutor Team meetings.<br />

In<strong>for</strong>mation Sharing:<br />

There will be a weekly printing of the names of pupils receiving blue sheets in the<br />

staffroom<br />

Formation Tutors can see whether any pupil in his/her <strong>for</strong>m is receiving concern sheets<br />

and address this with the pupil<br />

Teachers will be able to identify cross subject patterns.<br />

HOY will write beside pupil names the actions that have been taken as a result of the<br />

concern sheet.<br />

The monitoring of the distribution of blue concern sheets is carried out by Curriculum and<br />

Pastoral leaders and by the Senior Leadership in the weekly publishing of pupils issued with<br />

blue concern sheets. Where it is felt that that a blue sheet has been issued inappropriately this<br />

will be addressed with the individual member of staff.<br />

There is also an expectation that staff will issue praise in the <strong>for</strong>m of commendations at KS 3,<br />

praise cards, Achievement of the Week Awards as well as Departmental praise so as to<br />

balance out sanctions and to allow pupils the opportunity to experience and be recognised <strong>for</strong><br />

their positive contributions.<br />
