On behalf of the SEIPI Board of Trustees, we are pleased to welcome all participants, partners 

from both the private and public sector, and esteemed guests and all other stakeholders 

of the 12 th Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE). 

This PSECE marks the last year of HGST Philippines Corp. as host and partner of the event. For three consecutive years, 

PSECE had a recurring theme that is “Manufacturing and R&D: Leveling Up the Philippines’ Capability”. Both SEIPI and HGST 

believe that the future of the Philippine electronics industry relies on investing in higher-value activities and nurturing growing 

markets in the electronics manufacturing service (EMS) sector such as consumer electronics, medical electronics, and 

telecommunications. In the past 2 years, the event highlighted the different activities of the industry players, government, 

and academe on R&D and advanced technology. It was evident that there were pockets of R&D activities happening in the 

country but these were being done in silos. The aim of PSECE is to enjoin its stakeholders to agree on common goals and a 

single direction in moving beyond manufacturing. 

To contribute to this cause, SEIPI as an organization, is currently working on PATHS (Product and Technology Holistic Strategy). 

This is essentially a product and technology roadmap that will give a clear picture as to which products and technologies 

the industry and the country should invest on in the next 3 to 5 years, and will serve as a reference of the government and 

academe in developing programs and identifying resources that will support the roadmap. 

We hope that our featured plenary sessions, breakout conventions and exhibition activities will inspire our industry stakeholders 

to become advocates of an advanced Philippine electronics industry, an industry that is now preparing itself to be a 

destination of advanced manufacturing, design, research and development.

Message from our President- Mr Adam See 

The electronics industry in Singapore continued to be a major pillar of the Singapore manufacturing sector that helps Singapore to 

maintain its GDP growth in 2014. With the recovery of the US economy, continuous growth in China, India and South East Asia, 

electronic industries, we are positive that the industries will have a moderate growth in 2015. 

With this in mind, AEIS continues to reach out, expand and get connected with the relevant global electronic organizations, Trade 

Associations, Chambers and government agencies to position itself favourably - representing Singapore in regard to electronics 

and electronics related global events and conferences that benefiting its members and the electronics industries in Singapore. 

The Association is geared to assist and facilitate its members and the electronic industries in Singapore to meet the challenges 

ahead. We plan to provide useful and relevant platforms for our members to explore and expand its businesses. 

AEIS would be supporting, organising and leading Singapore companies at key and relevant overseas Trade Fairs. These trade fairs 

would be held in countries including Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Russia, Germany, Mexico, Brazil and China. 

Apart from trade fairs, AEIS acknowledged the importance of relevant and useful information in doing business. With this, AEIS
