Cementitious bonding agent and reinforcement corrosion protection
Product Description:
KÖSTER Adex is a cement based, factory
blended mix of corrosion inhibiting chemicals,
polymers and selected fillers in cement,
powder form.
The powder is mixed with water to form a
brushable slurry. The slurry is applied on
mineral substrates and reinforcement steel
for bonding and corrosion protection.

Instructions:
Job Conditions - Air and surface
temperature for application of KÖSTER Adex
slurry must be 5 °C to 30 0 C and must
remain so for a minimum of 24 hours.
Temporary Protection - Shall be provided
at all times until the material is fully cured.
Surface Preparation - The surface has to
be sound and solid, free of laitance, paint,
dust, form oil and other contaminants that
might affect the bonding adversely. Suitable
tools are wire brushes, high-pressure water
jets, sand and shot blasting.
Steel surfaces must be free of rust, optimum
degree of cleaning is SA 2.
Mineral substrates must be damped before
application of KÖSTER Adex slurry.
Mixing – One bag ( 25 kg ) of KÖSTER Adex
should be mixed with 5,5 lt of clean water.
The powder should always be added to the
water slowly and during continuous mixing
action with power mixer equipped with
mixing paddle.
Application – Apply the sealing slurry with
a firm brush or a suitable spraying device.
Allow every coat to dry completely before
applying the next one.
Do not apply layers thicker than 1,0 mm in a
single coat.
Consumption :
1mm thickness (apr. 2,0 kg/m 2 )
Cleaning of tools :
Clean tools with water while KÖSTER Adex is
still wet

Shelf life :

Caution :
Contains cement.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear
suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye /
face protection. After contact with skin, wash
immediately with plenty of water and soap.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse
immediately with plenty of water and seek
medical advice. For additional references to
