Welcome to <strong>Lord</strong> <strong>Fairfax</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> (LFCC), where your future is<br />
our focus. Whether your goal is to transfer to a four-year college or<br />
university, pursue education for a career, or simply take courses for selfenrichment,<br />
we are here to help. Throughout your college experience, you<br />
will encounter dedicated faculty <strong>and</strong> an entire community ready to help you<br />
meet your goals.<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s find our courses to be exciting <strong>and</strong> engaging <strong>and</strong> I am confident<br />
that you will too. Our commitment to your success begins with top-notch<br />
faculty who are experts in their fields <strong>and</strong> dedicated to teaching. LFCC<br />
courses will help you develop critical thinking <strong>and</strong> problem-solving skills to prepare for the future.<br />
Well-stocked learning resource centers will enable you to advance your research skills <strong>and</strong> learn more<br />
about your chosen field of study. Quality equipment, laboratories, <strong>and</strong> learning facilities await you.<br />
With seventy-four academic programs to select from, you have a wide range of options – some that you<br />
may never have considered. Transfer articulation agreements with four-year colleges <strong>and</strong> universities are<br />
available for a smooth transition to institutions such as Old Dominion University, Virginia Tech, The<br />
<strong>College</strong> of William <strong>and</strong> Mary, <strong>and</strong> many others. In addition, professional development <strong>and</strong> short-term<br />
training courses taught by industry professionals can help you hone your skills to advance in the<br />
workplace.<br />
Courses are offered at the Middletown Campus, the Fauquier Campus, <strong>and</strong> the Luray-Page County<br />
Center. Our students attend college both full- <strong>and</strong> part-time. Courses are available in traditional <strong>and</strong><br />
summer semesters during the day as well as convenient evening, Friday-only, weekend, <strong>and</strong> eight-week<br />
formats.<br />
Scheduling at LFCC is flexible. Many courses are available online, or in a “hybrid” format, involving<br />
some classroom <strong>and</strong> some online sessions. LFCC’s online course offerings allow students to “attend” a<br />
course anytime <strong>and</strong> from any place where they have access to a reliable Internet connection. Both online<br />
<strong>and</strong> hybrid classes help you develop technological skills that will be critical to your success in the 21 st<br />
century global business community.<br />
Regardless of which courses you take, <strong>and</strong> when, you will have excellent student support services.<br />
Financial aid <strong>and</strong> scholarship assistance are available to help defray the cost of tuition, books, <strong>and</strong> fees.<br />
Helpful student services such as academic advising, career planning, <strong>and</strong> online registration/payment<br />
<strong>and</strong> tutoring services are available. Through peer learning <strong>and</strong> student activities, you will have an<br />
opportunity to enrich your personal development beyond the classroom. At every step of the way, we are<br />
