The innovative I<strong>nPro</strong> <strong>8600</strong> sensor combines accurate technology with<br />

advanced measurement electronics in one compact sensor head, <strong>and</strong> provides<br />

highly reliable measurements at reduced installation costs. The forward <strong>and</strong><br />

sideward s<strong>cat</strong>ter turbidity system I<strong>nPro</strong> <strong>8600</strong> series from METTLER TOLEDO are<br />

designed for reliable measurements of turbidity in the low to medium <strong>particle</strong><br />

concentration range. The measuring principle is based on forward <strong>and</strong> sideward<br />

s<strong>cat</strong>tering of light. The <strong>color</strong> (yellowness) is measured by photometric absorption<br />

of light. The system is intended for in-line detection of undissolved (suspended)<br />

substances <strong>and</strong>/or the yellowness in the liquid media.<br />

Did You Know<br />

The sensor I<strong>nPro</strong> <strong>8600</strong> is<br />

also available as a st<strong>and</strong>alone<br />

system (without transmitter).<br />

Configuration is performed with a wireless<br />

PDA or laptop computer, reducing<br />

installation costs <strong>and</strong> simplifying<br />

the set-up. Current outputs on the sensor<br />

are used for the integration into a<br />

process control system.<br />

hygienically designed to be<br />

installed with a Tuchenhagen-Varivent ®<br />

access unit type N instrumentation fitting.<br />

The Varivent access unit provides<br />

maximum cleanliness through zero<br />

deadleg design. St<strong>and</strong>ard fittings are<br />

provided with butt weld pipe ends but<br />

may also be configured with sanitary,<br />

male or female NPT or ANSI flanged<br />
