Division Seminars
IACREOT Education
Education is the central focus of IACREOT, through our monthly eNewsletters, our
ListServe announcements and most especially through our Annual Conference
and Trade Show. The knowledge you take home with you will prove invaluable
in running your office at its peak efficiency and in most cases will save you and
your government money. In many jurisdictions, education courses offered at our
conference will meet a mandated requirement in your jurisdiction.
Through our Division Seminars, our General Education, our Trade Show schedule and
the Certificate in Public Leadership, you will have the opportunity to take advantage
of 18.5 hours of education at our 42nd Annual Conference and Trade Show.
These sessions provide information specific to your particular division: Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and/or Treasurers.
The topics discussed are germane to you in your capacity as one of these officials. Many wear more than one hat, therefore
you will have the opportunity to chose a seminar most attractive to you. Each Division, as a group, also visits the Trade Show
for educational opportunities.
General Education
These sessions provide an opportunity for the entire delegation to attend a
session that is common to all attendees and as a bonus, offers more opportunity
for networking, which is a centerpiece of our conference and our membership.
CEUs: Continuing Education Certificates
Hours from Division Seminars, General Education and Trade Show visits are
tallied for each attendee and a certificate of Continuing Education Hours is
issued to each attendee post conference.
George Washington University
Certificate in Public Leadership
The Certificate in Public Leadership (CPL) is specially designed for all public officials, elected or appointed, and their staffs. The
courses are developed and conducted by faculty members of the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public
Leadership. The CPL classes are offered in conjunction with IACREOT’s Annual Conference and Semi-Annual Meeting as well as
