2013 IACREOT Annual Blood Drive
June 29, 2013 • 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm
The annual IACREOT blood drive is another great example of giving back to the community. Each pint of blood
donated can be split up and used for multiple people. There is no substitution for human blood; donating blood
saves lives!
Facts about blood needs: Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood * One out of every 10 people
admitted in a hospital needs blood * More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year.
Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment *A single car accident
victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.
