Duties of referral authorities New duties are set out in section 14A • must have regard to the objectives of planning in Victoria • must have regard to the Minister’s directions • must comply with the Planning and Environment Act 1987 • must have regard to the planning scheme • must provide information and reports as required by the Minister 78
Referral authority register Referral authority must keep a register containing the prescribed information Prescribed information is: • name of the responsible authority referring the application • permit application number • reference number given by referral authority • date the referral authority received the application • address of the land affected by the application • proposed use, development or other matter for which the application is made • date and decision of the referral authority 79
