simplify<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>frastructure and IT management.<br />

• Capture bus<strong>in</strong>ess-specific <strong>in</strong>formation that<br />

you’ve been ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> spreadsheets,<br />

(See Fig. 10)<br />

• Use External Lists to empower people to view<br />

and update <strong>in</strong>formation outside of <strong>Microsoft</strong><br />

<strong>Dynamics</strong> <strong>GP</strong>—and free up your power users<br />

to work on more important tasks.<br />

“We look at <strong>Microsoft</strong> <strong>Dynamics</strong> <strong>GP</strong><br />

<strong>2010</strong> as be<strong>in</strong>g our ‘one version of the<br />

truth’ for the entire bus<strong>in</strong>ess. So when<br />

we’re mak<strong>in</strong>g direct store deliveries,<br />

we’re creat<strong>in</strong>g transactions that trigger<br />

<strong>in</strong>ventory, payables, receivables, and<br />

general ledger transactions; and we<br />

can share this activity back with our<br />

customers and vendors, so we’re all<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g together from the same set<br />

of data.”<br />
