U.S. Bank National Association Fair Lending Policy Statement<br />

U.S. Bank National Association is committed to lending fairness and fair lending practices.<br />

The Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Fair Housing Act expressly prohibit discrimination on<br />

the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, age (provided the applicant is of<br />

legal age to have the capacity to enter into a binding legal contract), sex, disability, familial<br />

status, receipt of public assistance, or the exercise in good faith of any right under the Consumer<br />

Credit Protection Act in any aspect of a loan transaction. The aforementioned are commonly<br />

known as prohibited bases.<br />

State and federal laws governing unfair and deceptive trade practices prohibit banks from<br />

engaging in practices which misrepresent or omit information that causes customers to be<br />

mislead as to the true nature of a product or service, or which cause substantial injury to a<br />

consumer.<br />

All credit products of U.S. Bank National Association shall be available to all applicants on a<br />

consistent and fair basis, provided the applicants meet our guidelines of safe and sound lending<br />

along with applicable credit policies and business focuses.<br />

No applicant shall be discouraged on a prohibited basis from applying for loan products offered<br />

by U.S. Bank National Association.<br />

U.S. Bank National Association shall comply with all fair lending laws and regulations including<br />

the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, the Fair Housing Act,<br />

and the Community Reinvestment Act.<br />

U.S. Bank National Association, or any employee thereof, shall not discriminate against any<br />

credit request on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, age (provided<br />

the applicant is of legal age to have the capacity to enter into a binding legal contract), sex,<br />

sexual orientation, disability, familial status, receipt of public assistance, or if the individual has<br />

exercised in good faith any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act, or on any other<br />

prohibited basis.<br />

U.S. Bank National Association shall comply with all laws and regulations prohibiting unfair and<br />

deceptive trade practices by adopting policies and procedures to ensure that information provided<br />

to customers and potential customers is complete and accurate; to clearly and accurately disclose<br />

all material product or service features; and to maintain complaint processes to ensure that any<br />

complaints alleging unfair or deceptive practices are researched and adequately addressed.<br />

U.S. Bank National Association shall have such policies, underwriting standards, training,<br />

review, and compliance procedures as may be required to ensure compliance with both the<br />

technical requirements and spirit of this Fair Lending Policy Statement.<br />
