Whilst Supply continues to focus on strategic products and the provision<br />

of market expertise, increasing focus is being placed on ‘downstream’<br />

activities of the supply chain such as in-country warehousing,<br />

logistics and distribution. Ensuring the local delivery of commodities at<br />

the point of service is a multifaceted area of work that can vary significantly<br />

from country to country. This work is led by Programme staff in<br />

country offices, but through greater programme/supply integration, and<br />

emphasis on the professional development of the Supply Community,<br />

Supply is lending its expertise and support to ensuring commodities<br />

make it all the way to beneficiaries as effectively as possible.<br />
