Kazam’s Tornado 348 is certainly 

slim, but it is not slim on features. 

The Tornado 348 includes advanced 

technical capabilities and its 

streamlined shape makes it extremely

Taking you right to the edge 

The 4.8 inch AMOLED screen improves response 

times and contrast ratio, giving a superior 

viewing experience. The screen also consumes 

significantly less power, so users can spend longer 

watching the things they want to, without killing 

the battery. 

The Kazam Tornado 348 screen fills the device, 

thanks to the super slim 1.8mm bezel on either 

side of the screen. Built around a precision 

machined aluminium-magnesium alloy, the robust 

uni-body design allows for a super slim device 

while maintaining maximum strength. 

Power for outstanding experience 

Yet the Kazam Tornado 348 is not just an exciting 

design; looking beneath the sleek exterior there 

is some heavy hitting technology. A Mediatek 

True8core processor works seamlessly within the 

device to provide outstanding user experience. 

The eight cores work independently of each other 

for maximum multitasking, or together when 

extra power is required. 

Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Tornado 348 

supports multitasking, easily coping with the most 

memory-demanding applications and games. 

With a 16GB internal memory, the multimedia 

potential of the Tornado 348 is massive. However, 

if this is not enough memory, support of OTG 

(USB On-the-Go) will make it easy to connect 

to additional devices such as a flash card or a 

keyboard. 

For photography fans this smartphone’s eight 

Megapixel camera with high quality optics and 

integral sensors will help users to realise even 

the most sophisticated of ideas. With selective 

autofocus, users can choose the areas they 

want to focus on within the frame. What is 

more, with auto exposure users can control the 

balance of light on pictures regardless of the 

shooting conditions. 

Value added services 

Finally, if owners of the Tornado 348 run into 

trouble with their device they can give Kazam a 

call. Agents at Kazam are able to remotely access 

the phone, with the users permission, to see what 

is going on. A total of 70% of issues are fixed by 

Kazam’s team over the phone. 

For added protection, Kazam also offers a free 

one time Screen Replacement if the screen is 

accidentally damaged within the first year, and 

the standard two year warranty can be upgraded 

to three years when each device is registered.

Looking at SmartWatch 3 

After launching in partnership this past autumn with Google, 

SmartWatch 3 is Sony’s latest generation wearable. SmartWatch 3 is 

powered by Google’s Android Wear, which organises your information, 

suggests what you need, and shows it to you before you even ask. Users 

can get messages from friends, appointment notifications, and weather 

updates at a glance. It could be flight information, tips based on interests 

or messages of any kind, so user input is seldom necessary. 

SmartWatch 3 gives you the freedom to choose whether you take 

a phone, or listen to music, and have your route tracked from the 

watch itself. You can even improve your golf using the GolfShot range 

finder app. 

Lifelog for SmartWatch 3 

Lifelog is a personal Android application from Sony that captures and tells 

your story. 

Available either pre-loaded or downloadable from the Google Play Store, 

Sony’s Lifelog application enables you to set and achieve goals, bookmark 

memorable moments, and revisit memories any time. 

Lifelog can set goals on running, walking, cycling, calorie burn – whatever 

your health and fitness aims are, or even if you are simply curious, Lifelog 

can help. It allows you to monitor your progress and challenge your alltime 

bests. Whether you’re aiming for 10,000 steps a day or want to read 

for an extra 15 minutes per night, you can achieve your ambitions. 

CREATING THE 

Sony’s approach to smart, wearable technology is based on the fundamentals of building depth and 

variety into user experiences, and providing choice with beautiful, functional products. Sony has created 

SmartWatch 3 as part of that vision and in a bid to support and encourage the wearable technology 

ecosystem, it has expanded its Lifelog platform as well as partnered with companies to help develop 

exciting new apps that will add to the richness of the Smartwatch 3 user experience. 

Apps for SmartWatch 3 

Sony is teaming up with a variety of lifestyle and health apps to 

complement SmartWear and Lifelog. Starting soon, Lifelog will enable 

you to: access recipes for intuitive connections between Lifelog and 

your favourite apps; develop healthy habits with Habit Monster, so you 

can learn more about yourself within Lifelog; use Withings Smart Body 

Analyzer and its other connected health devices, to monitor your weight, 

BMI, and body fat in Lifelog. 

Also, Golfshot and iFit are two developers already creating Android 

Wear experiences with SmartWatch 3’s standalone capability, for both 

performance on the course and track respectively. 

Sony is also collaborating with Virgin Atlantic to explore wearable tech 

initiatives together and to develop unique solutions using Sony’s products 

to support Virgin Atlantic customers. 

Xperia Z3 for SmartWatch 3 

In September Sony announced its new Xperia Z series flagship 

smartphones, the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. Both premium 

smartphones, from the 5.2 inch flagship smartphone or the compact 4.6 

inch form factor, are perfect cutting-edge partners for the SmartWatch 3. 

Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact are fully waterproof (IP 65/68), so users
