New Range<br />
The new passive transceiver range are part of AMG’s new,<br />
integrated CCTV <strong>UTP</strong> (unshielded twisted pair) system. <strong>Passive</strong><br />
transceivers are able to both transmit and receive real time<br />
colour or monochrome video up to 400 metres over standard<br />
<strong>UTP</strong> cables. Maximum recommended distance for passive to<br />
passive devices is 300 metres when used with digital recorders.<br />
Transmitting over <strong>UTP</strong> cable, rather than over traditional video<br />
cable, provides a reliable, high quality, flexible and expandable<br />
system that uses less conduit space, and can be built using<br />
existing structured wiring.<br />
Flexible installation<br />
AMG’s range of transceivers are designed with unparalleled<br />
interference immunity, allowing video signals to coexist in<br />
the same wire bundle as telephone, datacom signals, and low<br />
voltage power<br />
circuits with no degradation in video quality. Video signals are<br />
sent without the need to digitise or compress, and without the<br />
signal degradation associated with these techniques.<br />

transient protection and surge suppression. The ability to<br />
transmit over standard Cat5 <strong>UTP</strong> cable means that any of<br />
the passive devices can be utilised in both new and existing<br />
installations.<br />

to work with AMG’s active receiver components for<br />
increased performance and range.<br />
