Timothy our bro<strong>the</strong>r, To Philemon our dear friend<br />

and fellow worker,<br />

25. Hebr. 13:23 I want you to know that our bro<strong>the</strong>r<br />

Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I<br />

will come with him to see you.<br />

B. Silas (check all contexts)<br />

1. Acts 15:22 Then <strong>the</strong> apostles and elders, with <strong>the</strong><br />

whole church, decided to choose some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir own<br />

men and send <strong>the</strong>m to Antioch with Paul and<br />

Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and<br />

Silas, two men who were leaders among <strong>the</strong><br />

bro<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />

2. Acts 15:27 Therefore we are sending Judas and<br />

Silas to confirm by word <strong>of</strong> mouth what we are<br />

writing.<br />

3. Acts 15:32 Judas and Silas, who <strong>the</strong>mselves were<br />

prophets, said much to encourage and streng<strong>the</strong>n<br />

<strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />

4. Acts 15:40 but Paul chose Silas and left,<br />

commended by <strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs to <strong>the</strong> grace <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Lord.<br />

5. Acts 16:19 When <strong>the</strong> owners <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> slave girl<br />

realized that <strong>the</strong>ir hope <strong>of</strong> making money was gone,<br />

<strong>the</strong>y seized Paul and Silas and dragged <strong>the</strong>m into<br />

<strong>the</strong> marketplace to face <strong>the</strong> authorities.<br />

6. Acts 16:22 The crowd joined in <strong>the</strong> attack against<br />

Paul and Silas, and <strong>the</strong> magistrates ordered <strong>the</strong>m to<br />

be stripped and beaten.<br />

7. Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were<br />

praying and singing hymns to God, and <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

prisoners were listening to <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

8. Acts 16:29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in<br />

and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.<br />

9. Acts 16:36 The jailer told Paul, "The magistrates<br />

have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now<br />

you can leave. Go in peace."<br />

10. Acts 16:38 The <strong>of</strong>ficers reported this to <strong>the</strong><br />

magistrates, and when <strong>the</strong>y heard that Paul and<br />

Silas were Roman citizens, <strong>the</strong>y were alarmed.<br />

11. Acts 16:40 After Paul and Silas came out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

prison, <strong>the</strong>y went to Lydia's house, where <strong>the</strong>y met<br />

with <strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs and encouraged <strong>the</strong>m. Then <strong>the</strong>y<br />

left.<br />

12. Acts 17:4 Some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Jews were persuaded and<br />

joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number <strong>of</strong><br />

God-fearing Greeks and not a few prominent<br />

women.<br />

13. Acts 17:5 But <strong>the</strong> Jews were jealous; so <strong>the</strong>y<br />

rounded up some bad characters from <strong>the</strong><br />

marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in <strong>the</strong><br />

city. They rushed to Jason's house in search <strong>of</strong> Paul<br />

and Silas in order to bring <strong>the</strong>m out to <strong>the</strong> crowd.<br />

14. Acts 17:10 As soon as it was night, <strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs<br />

sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving<br />

<strong>the</strong>re, <strong>the</strong>y went to <strong>the</strong> Jewish synagogue.<br />

15. Acts 17:14 The bro<strong>the</strong>rs immediately sent Paul to<br />

<strong>the</strong> coast, but Silas and Timothy stayed at Berea.<br />

16. Acts 17:15 The men who escorted Paul brought<br />

him to A<strong>the</strong>ns and <strong>the</strong>n left with instructions for<br />

Silas and Timothy to join him as soon as possible.<br />

17. Acts 18:5 When Silas and Timothy came from<br />

Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to<br />

preaching, testifying to <strong>the</strong> Jews that Jesus was <strong>the</strong><br />

Christ.<br />

18. 2Cor. 1:19 For <strong>the</strong> Son <strong>of</strong> God, Jesus Christ, who<br />

was preached among you by me and Silas and<br />

Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has<br />

always been "Yes."
