The timetable shows when the bus is <strong>schedule</strong>d to depart. Actual times may vary and depend upon<br />
traffic and weather conditions. Arrive at the bus stop 2-3 minutes early to avoid missing the bus.<br />
Transfers<br />
Transfers are available for 75 cents and can be used when you<br />
are traveling more than one bus route. Ask your driver for<br />
one as soon as you board the bus. Transfers can only be<br />
purchased at the same time as your regular cash fare.<br />
Half-fare transfers are 35 cents. Transfers are for use only in<br />
continuous direction – from point of origin to point of<br />
destination. Transfers are not good for a return trip on the<br />
same route, or on any other route returning to your point of<br />
origin. Transfers are good only for 90 minutes from the time<br />
of purchase and only on the date purchased.<br />
How to Pay<br />
Please have your fare or pass ready before you board. If you do<br />
not have exact change, you will be issued a change card, as<br />
drivers do not carry any cash.<br />
Connecting service to other counties<br />
Connecting service to Luzerne County Transportation<br />
Authority is available on the Pittston route at Main Avenue &<br />
Broad Street, on the Old Forge route at Main Street and<br />
Orchard Street, and at Mohegan Sun.<br />
Lost & Found<br />
If you leave something on a <strong>COLTS</strong> bus, you can call<br />
346-2061 to see if it was found. Items left at <strong>COLTS</strong> administrative<br />
offices for more than 30 days will be donated to charity.<br />
Title VI Rights<br />
Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, <strong>COLTS</strong><br />
must ensure that “federally supported transit services and<br />
related benefits are distributed in an equitable manner.”<br />
<strong>COLTS</strong> operates all of its programs and activities without<br />
regard for race, color, or national origin. As such, <strong>COLTS</strong> is<br />
committed to a non-discrimination policy in all of its business<br />
and activities. A person who feels he or she has been discriminated<br />
against is encouraged to fill out a complaint form as soon<br />
as possible and send it to: <strong>COLTS</strong> Title VI Compliance Officer,<br />
800 North South Road, Scranton, PA 18504. Forms are<br />
available at www.coltsbus.com under the “Policies” section and<br />
at <strong>COLTS</strong> headquarters. <strong>COLTS</strong> officials will do all they can to<br />
provide a quick resolution. If a complainant is not satisfied<br />
with the results of <strong>COLTS</strong>’ findings, he/she may appeal to:<br />

Transit Watch<br />
When it comes to safety, we can always use an extra pair of<br />
eyes. Be observant, alert, watchful and aware. If something<br />
does not look quite right, report it to the authorities. Tell your<br />
driver immediately or call 346-2061. Transit Watch asks you<br />
to help be the “eyes and ears” of <strong>COLTS</strong>.<br />
Hours of Service<br />
Weekdays: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.<br />
Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.<br />
<strong>COLTS</strong> does not have service on Sundays.<br />
<strong>COLTS</strong> does not provide bus service on the following<br />
holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day,<br />
Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.<br />
All <strong>COLTS</strong> buses are ADA compliant.<br />
Some earlier and later service is available on select <strong>COLTS</strong><br />
routes on both weekdays and Saturdays. Please see individual<br />
<strong>schedule</strong>s for timetables.<br />
Regular Fares<br />
■ Seniors 65 and older ride FREE all the time with a Senior<br />
Fare card. These are available through <strong>COLTS</strong>.<br />
■ Cash: $1.75<br />
■ Children 45 inches and shorter and accompanied by an<br />
adult ride free.<br />
■ College students, faculty and staff may be able to ride<br />
certain routes for free. Please check with your college or<br />
visit www.coltsbus.com/colleges for more information.<br />
<strong>COLTS</strong> Passes<br />
■ 31-day passes: $56; 10-ride passes: $15.75<br />
■ Students with valid student ID: 31-day passes: $28;<br />
10-ride student passes: $7.85<br />
■ Day pass: $4.00<br />
Reduced Fares<br />
■ If you have a valid Medicare card, you can ride at the<br />
reduced rate of half the regular fare. Applications for<br />
Reduced Fare Cards are available at www.coltsbus.com<br />
under “<strong>COLTS</strong> Fares.”<br />
■ People who are employed and meet federal low-to-moderate<br />
income guidelines may be eligible for a discounted bus pass.<br />
