<strong>World</strong> <strong>H<strong>is</strong>tory</strong> <strong>is</strong> a <strong>survey</strong> course that gives students the opportunity to explore<br />
recurring themes of human experience common to civilizations around the globe<br />
from ancient to contemporary times. Students will examine the h<strong>is</strong>torical roots of<br />
significant events, ideas, and movements. They will broaden their h<strong>is</strong>torical<br />
perspectives as they explore ways societies have dealt with continuity and change as<br />
exemplified by <strong>is</strong>sues such as war and peace, internal stability and strife, and the<br />
development of institutions. Th<strong>is</strong> course serves as a foundation for Civics and<br />
Economics.<br />
<strong>Honors</strong> <strong>World</strong> <strong>H<strong>is</strong>tory</strong> covers the material in greater complexity, novelty, and pacing.<br />
