Nicola Streeten<br />

Nicola Streeten has worked as an illustrator since 1996. In 2011, Myriad Editions <strong>issue</strong>d Streeten’s Billy, Me & You, the first<br />
published graphic memoir by a British woman. About the artist’s own experience of bereavement following the death of her<br />
child, Billy, Me & You was recognized by the British Medical Association (BMA) with the citation of “Highly Commended”<br />
in the Popular Medicine category of the 20<strong>12</strong> BMA book awards. Streeten is currently completing Hymn, a fictional<br />
graphic novel exploring the ethical <strong>issue</strong>s surrounding abortion, scheduled for publication in 2015 by Myriad Editions.<br />
Streeten received an Arts Council England award for the research and development of Hymn.
