ANNUAL PRIZE DAY AT JSSPS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2011 -12
It was the maiden annual prize day at JSSPS on 19-05-12 where the students were
honoured for the outstanding academic performance they put forth last year. A lot
of planning and preparation went into making it a day to be remembered by all. It
was the most awaited Event for the achievers. It was the recognition of the hard
work put in by students through out the year.
The whole event was conducted in the most organized and elegant manner with
the Prefectorial Body in all their smartness escorted the Chief guest and the Senior
Management Team.
The Chief Guest for the day was Mrs. Habiba al Marashi who is the Co Founder and
Chairperson of EEG ( Emirates Environmental Group) and also the President of UN
Global Compact Network in GCC States.
The Annual Prize Day commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Our
Principal Mrs. Chitra Sharma read out the Annual School Report giving an insight
into the school’s growth by leaps and bounds.
The cultural activities organized by the students included a breathtaking
performance of Yoga, a melodious song by the school choir and a marvelous dance
by the supple dancers of JSSPS.
Our Chief Guest Mrs. Habiba al Marashi spoke at length about our responsibilities
towards the environment and also to spread the awareness globally. She
congratulated the school for being an active member of EEG inspite of being a very
new school.
The Presidential address was rendered by our CEO Mr. Gurusamy Kalloor .This was
followed by the most awaited event of the day – The Prize Distribution , where
around 74 achievers were honoured from Grades 1-9.
The sound of applause, when the student go up the stage, to claim his / her prize,
fills him/her with immense, pride and joy. The parents of the child were choked
with emotions when they saw their loved one accepting the award. It was indeed
a momentous occasion for one and all.
The school also took this opportunity to honour Mrs. Dhwani Acharya ( a parent)
for her help and contribution towards the KG students.

The conclusion of the event was marked by the Vote of Thanks by our Headmaster
Mr. Paramjit Ahluwalia.
In the words of Cynthia Kersey – “The greatest natural resource in the world is
the spirit that resides in every unstoppable person.”
