The motto for last summer was to ‘inspire a generation’ and
following another great year I have never been more confident
that this is exactly what we are doing at the Cricket Foundation.
As part of this I am delighted
to say that Chance to Shine
continues to see benefits across
the country. This year alone
nearly 350,000 children have
benefited. As ever, our England
Women coaching ambassadors
continue to do inspirational work
and have coached 15,000 girls
and motivated many children
to take up this great game.
Our original plan for Chance
to Shine was to go up to 2015
with the aim of bringing cricket
to two million children in a
third of state schools. We have
now made the decision as a
Board to go on beyond that and
keep bringing cricket, with its
educational benefits, back to
schools around the country.
Following a successful pilot
last year, our secondary
schools competition, Chance
to Compete, has been rolled
out across the country. The
competition is aimed at
giving secondary state school
children an opportunity to play
competitive, hard ball cricket.
Many of the children involved
would have never played on
grass pitches before and this
year nearly 250 secondary
schools took part in the
competition with the finals day
held at Moseley Cricket Club
in Birmingham. We are aiming
to continue its expansion
with 600 schools taking part
in 2013 and 1,250 in 2014.
The support we receive is the
bedrock to the work we do so
thanks must go to all of our
partners: to Sport England for
their significant funding; and to
the England & Wales Cricket
Board for the continued financial
and logistical support that they
give to the charity. Also thank you
to Marylebone Cricket Club for
their support of Chance to Shine
through the MCC Spirit of Cricket
partnership. In addition, thank
you to our major donors and
trustees. You help make Chance
to Shine the success that it is.
“Bringing cricket,
with its educational
benefits, back to
schools around
the country”
A final thank you to the
President, Vice Presidents,
Patrons and the Cricket
Foundation Board of Trustees
for their invaluable work this
year. I would also like to express
my gratitude to Wasim and
the Cricket Foundation team
along with all the individuals
and volunteers who have
contributed to the success
of Chance to Shine in 2012.
Chief Executive’s
Welcome
After a fantastic and unforgettable summer of sport,
Chance to Shine is continuing to go from strength to strength.
CHANCE TO SHINE
Since 2005, over 1.8 million
children across 6,500 schools
have benefited through Chance
to Shine. A key part of our
programme is the engagement
of girls. This year alone, over
160,000 girls received coaching
and competitive opportunities.
To help us continue to develop
the provision for girls, some of the
country’s most successful women
have come together to help us form
‘Girls on the Front Foot’; a series
of activities aimed at developing
levels of aspiration amongst girls
through innovative coaching
and mentoring programmes.
I am delighted to say that during
the summer of 2013, we will
achieve our initial target of reaching
two million children. We will
continue to stretch ourselves and
have set a target of reaching
a further one million children by
the end of 2015. It also gives me
great pleasure to report that the
Board of the Cricket Foundation
has agreed to go on beyond 2015
and we are currently developing a
new five year plan (2016-2020) that
will aspire to reach the remaining
state schools in this country.
I would also like to announce that a
grant from Sport England will allow
us to help introduce the game to
400,000 11 to 16 year olds over
the next three years. This fantastic
news means that these young
cricketers will now no longer be
lost to the game at an early age
and will instead continue to play
sport well beyond their teens.
As well as inspiring thousands of
school children to play cricket, we
believe the game has a broader role
to play within society. To highlight
this, we have formed a partnership
with the National Osteoporosis
Society - the aim is to deliver
educational messages about
the positive effect regular
exercise and proper nutrition
has on preventing conditions
such as osteoporosis in later life.
This year, we have extended
our inner city StreetChance
programme to Hull and Liverpool.
The £1 million Sport England
grant provided for StreetChance
this year will enable 11,000 16
to 24 year olds in deprived areas
of Birmingham, Bristol, Hull,
Liverpool, London and Manchester
to engage in weekly community
cricket over the next three years.
Making cricket accessible, driving
sustainable participation and
delivering meaningful social impact
in inner-city areas has always
been at the heart of StreetChance.
We are delighted that the Sport
England funding will enable us
to extend our programme to
reach these young adults.
I would like to thank Sport
England, ECB, Brit Insurance,
and our supporters. Also,
a huge thank you to all of
our supporters, the County
Cricket Boards, the cricket
clubs, coaches and everyone
involved with the Cricket
Foundation. Your exceptional
support continues to make a life
changing difference to so many.
NEARLY 350,000
CHILDREN PARTICIPATED
IN CHANCE TO SHINE
‘Chance to Shine supported by Brit Insurance’ is the Cricket Foundation’s campaign to bring
cricket – with its educational benefits – back to schools. Launched in 2005, it aims to reach
one-third of state schools and two million children in England and Wales by 2015.
Chance to Shine works with all
39 county cricket boards to deliver
sustainable cricket coaching and
competition programmes across
England and Wales.
Now in its seventh year, Chance
to Shine works with 516 projects
involving over 1,000 clubs
delivering cricket to 3,584 primary
schools, 111 middle schools and
603 secondary schools. 207
special schools were also
involved in the programme.
This year saw the implementation
of a new delivery model designed
in conjunction with county
boards, called ‘Creating the
Future’. The revised delivery
model for Chance to Shine was
developed to enable and empower
county boards to implement the
programme more flexibly in order
to meet local circumstances
all year round. It is no longer
a requirement for projects to
deliver a set number of hours
as in previous years. This has
enabled smaller projects with
fewer schools to be involved and
therefore increased the reach
of Chance to Shine.
In August 2012 we reached our
1.5 millionth child and now are
only 200,000 away from hitting
the initial target of introducing
two million children to cricket
through Chance to Shine.
“I love Chance to Shine because it gives
less fortunate children an opportunity
to experience what sport and especially
cricket can offer.” Alastair Cook, England Captain
CHANCE TO SHINE
Case Study: The Willows Primary School, Wythenshawe,
Greater Manchester
Teacher and
pupil development
In order to leave a lasting
cricketing legacy we are
continuing to work with schools,
to train teachers in cricket
coaching skills and enabling
them to have the confidence to
run their own sessions in their
schools. This will allow schools
to continue cricket in the school
and enable ‘post-Chance to Shine
delivery’. In 2012 we trained over
9,700 teachers.
78,500 STRUCTURED
SCHOOL MATCHES
WERE PLAYED
IS SPENT ON THE
PROGRAMME
The area surrounding Willows
Primary School is described by
their PE teacher’ as a “hotbed
of football”. Chance to Shine
has been running in this school
for a year and has begun to
embed cricket into the curriculum.
The children choose to play
cricket at break and lunch now,
something unthinkable even
Personal Development
Chance to Shine has had a
massive impact on the pupils
as the mother of Arron, a Year
5 boy, explains, “Before he
did cricket as an after-school
activity, he was argumentative
and lazy. But since that he’s
let his frustrations come out in
his cricket. He’s more friendly,
happier, a lot more helpful, and
he’s just a lot nicer boy all-round.”
At the heart of every project is a cricket club and Chance to Shine
has helped to strengthen links between primary and secondary
schools and their local cricket clubs. These partnerships have
provided opportunities for children who may not otherwise
have been exposed to cricket to experience the benefits of
being part of a club.
“It was the turning
point in our school”
Head of PE, Primary School
Pathways / Migration
Migration plays a key part in the
sustainable ethos underpinning
Chance to Shine. Grassroots
cricket will continue to grow and
thrive if children are given the
opportunity to join their local
club and continue to play and
enjoy the game.
Competition
Chance to Shine continues
to champion the importance
of competition for teaching
children vitally important skills
for later life. Aside from learning
to respect your opponents and
team mates as well as learning
how to win and lose, it is also an
important tool to keep youngsters
engaged and enthused with
the game. This year nearly
77,000 schools matches were
played. The secondary schools
tournament, Chance to Compete,
was also expanded nationwide
after requests from schools for
more competitive cricketing
opportunities (see page 13).
58,738 HOURS
OF COACHING
DELIVERED IN 2012
This year over 15,000 young
people joined a local club,
31% of which were girls. In
total over 50,000 children have
now migrated to clubs and
continued their cricketing
journeys which were brought
about by Chance to Shine.
CHANCE TO SHINE
Women’s and
girls’ cricket
Chance to Shine continues to
lead the way in girls’ sporting
provision. Over 800,000 girls
in state schools have now had
the opportunity to play cricket
thanks to the programme.
Migration is a key part of
Chance to Shine and more than
4,600 girls have joined local
clubsas a result of Chance to
Shine this year. StreetChance is
giving girls in deprived inner-city
areas the opportunity to play
cricket and over 5,600 have
participated in the scheme. Our
campaign, Girls on the Front Foot,
is helping us continue to empower
girls through cricket (Page 18).
“We want to try
and impress her
(Charlotte Edwards)
more and play well
because she’s so
good and it makes
you want to play more”
Gemma, 10, Chance to Shine pupil
In between representing
England, six of the England
women’s team are continuing
to work as Chance to Shine
coaching ambassadors going
into schools delivering coaching,
competitions and assemblies.
They are inspiring the next
generation of female cricketers
and this year they have
coached nearly 15,000 girls.
“The girls don’t
want to become
the tea making
ladies of the
future. They
want to be
the players!”
Headteacher, St Margaret’s
Primary School’
MCC Spirit of Cricket
The continuing relationship between the Cricket Foundation
and Marylebone Cricket Club is enabling Chance to Shine
coaches to teach the MCC Spirit of Cricket message to
children throughout the country.
A major part of this was the interactive assembly resource. Using a Jessie
J song, this was was developed to engage children and highlight the
fun of cricket along with promoting the key message ‘play hard, play
fair’. Around 234,000 children took part in the assemblies and a
number of schools were treated to a visit and coaching session from
a professional cricketer as one of the benefits of the partnership.
Mascots
Nearly two dozen lucky
Chance to Shine children got
the opportunity to meet their
heroes thanks to the ongoing
partnership with Brit Insurance.
22 children got the once in
a lifetime opportunity to be
mascots at England matches
last summer and attend the coin
toss with the England captain.
“Visits from sportsmen like Robert Croft broaden children’s horizons.
It can raise their aspirations as well, which we’re all about in an area
like this. They can put their heads above the wall and see what’s over
the other side and someone like Robert Croft can show them what
they can achieve.” Headteacher, Ty-Sign Primary School, Risca
BRIT INSURANCE NATIONAL CRICKET DAY
STREETCHANCE
Music, food, art, literature and
beach cricket were on the menu
for schoolchildren from around
the country for Brit Insurance
National Cricket Day 2012.
The day was bathed in glorious
sunshine as schools turned
their timetables over to a day of
Caribbean and cricket-themed
lessons to tie in with the West
Indies’ tour of England.
Cricket stars again showed their
support with Kevin Pietersen,
Sir Viv Richards and Charlotte
Edwards celebrating the day at
an inner-city school in London.
The England Women’s captain
got the ball rolling with an MCC
Spirit of Cricket assembly before
pupils took part in some special
lessons. Classes included
Caribbean music, cricket
writing with Guyanese poet
John Agard and author Bob
Cattell, Caribbean story-telling
and cookery classes along with
a once in a lifetime cricketing
lesson learning skills with the
three legends of the game.
Thanks to the Professional
Cricketers’ Association, other
county players including Simon
Jones, Glenn Chapple and Paul
Nixon visited local schools for
the day. The Caribbean theme
continued with inter-school beach
cricket tournaments in Brighton
and Cornwall, with Sussex star
Chris Nash and Worcestershire
bowler Jack Shantry on hand
to offer advice and tips.
StreetChance also got involved
in National Cricket Day with a
Caribbean themed inner-city
tournament in Birmingham
with six teams playing with
tape balls made up as the
West Indian island flags.
StreetChance is a partnership between the Cricket Foundation
and Barclays Spaces for Sports delivering cricket in tough
inner-city areas across selected cities in the UK.
The programme strategically partners with the Metropolitan Police
Service and County Constabularies across a number of StreetChance
cities to engage young people from a range of backgrounds in
areas affected by youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
Continued National Expansion
Following the national expansion of StreetChance to reach five cities
in 2011, the second phase of the national expansion in 2012 has
seen further projects launched in Liverpool and Hull, reaching
more than 1,000 young people in the first six months through
school and community programmes.
Expansion continued in other StreetChance cities in 2012, with a total
of 14 new projects commencing across London, Birmingham, Bristol,
Dewsbury, Hull, Liverpool and Manchester in addition to the 40
projects continuing from 2011.
9
SINCE 2008,
STREETCHANCE HAS
ENGAGED NEARLY
26,000 YOUNG PEOPLE
ACROSS 7 CITIES

STREETCHANCE
Young Adults
Funding from Sport England has enabled StreetChance to extend
its provision to the 16-24 age group across three cities; piloting four
projects each in London, Birmingham and Manchester. Delivering in
the same communities as pre-existing StreetChance youth projects
and utilising the tapeball street cricket format, the Young Adults
project provides excellent opportunities for young adults in inner-city
areas to participate in community sessions and indoor leagues.
The Cricket Foundation has worked closely with the Middlesex,
Lancashire and Warwickshire cricket boards in London, Manchester
and Birmingham respectively to deliver weekly community sessions
and develop an indoor tapeball league from October to March.
Competition
The national development of
StreetChance has helped to
embed a culture of competition
within each city, with the six-aside
tapeball format lending itself
to highly inclusive tournaments
where multiple matches are
played and everyone can take
part. As well as local tournaments,
where young people have an
opportunity to compete against
participants from different parts
of their city, StreetChance also
brings participants from all seven
cities together through national
competitions, the first three
of which were held this year.
‘Manchester Lightening’ won
senior and junior titles, with
sides from London and Hull also
claiming a share of the spoils.
Both the intra-city and national
competitions have helped to
increase teamwork skills, teach
young people how to play, win
and lose in the right manner.
Participating in competitions
in different parts of the city and
travelling to other cities has also
helped to broaden the horizons
of young people, taking them
out of their comfort zones and
broadening their horizons.
This is particularly important for
some young people who may
previously have felt isolated
within their own communities
and bound by postcode barriers
that can exist in inner city areas.
MORE THAN 1,600 YOUNG
PEOPLE PLAYING AT
TRADITIONAL CRICKET CLUBS
Social Development through Cricket
StreetChance uses cricket to deliver social outcomes, running
educational workshops on key issues that might affect the
communities where projects are active. It also engages local
police in sessions to break down barriers between them and
young people. This is bringing huge benefits not only to those
involved, but also to the wider communities.
Over the past year, StreetChance has delivered workshops on first
aid, stop and search and self-defence aimed at female participants.
Nationally, over 400 young people have taken part in workshops
covering the dangers of gangs, gun and knife crime, and drug
and alcohol abuse.
This aspect of StreetChance has helped to influence the attitudes
of young people on police, anti-social behaviour, gangs and
community cohesion, with:
54% of community participants saying their attitude towards police
has changed for the better having engaged with them at
StreetChance sessions
64% of StreetChance community participants saying the project
has helped them avoid getting involved with local gangs
67% of community participants saying they feel more part of their
community since they started StreetChance projects
71% of community participants saying StreetChance has helped
make them more tolerant of others
Case study: Moss Side Community Project, Manchester
SINCE 2008, STREETCHANCE
HAS DELIVERED MORE THAN
15,000 HOURS OF FREE
COACHING IN SCHOOLS AND
INNER-CITY COMMUNITIES
StreetChance has made a big
impact in Manchester since
launching in 2011, engaging nearly
300 young people and welcoming
more than 100 regular participants
to four community sessions. Of
these sessions, the project in Moss
Side has stood out, reaching a
group of young Afghan refugees
who have thrived through their
involvement in the project.
The Afghan boys are mainly from
foster homes, and StreetChance
has become the focal point of
their week.
Coach Rehaan Rather:
“The commitment they show to
the project is unbeatable. They
turn up week after week with
new friends. They love getting
involved, take games very
seriously, and take great pride
in playing.”
New bonds have since been
formed, as the lads joined forces
with the Pakistani boys from
Cheetham Hill to form Manchester
Lightning, the side that won both
the February and August national
tournaments this year. This
success has created a strong
sense of team spirit between the
Omar Yazdani, 16, from Cheetham
each other, and when we won
it was amazing.”
SPECIAL PROJECTS
MCC Spirit of Cricket summer camps
MCC Spirit of Cricket camps were held throughout the country
during the summer. The camps were aimed at girls aged
eight to 14 and gave them the chance to enjoy cricket and
be coached by the England Women coaching ambassadors.
This year, nearly 500 children attended the camps up and down
the country from Sheffield to Plymouth. StreetChance mixed
camps also extended out to Birmingham, Dewsbury and
Manchester with children in inner city areas getting the
opportunity to play cricket and learn the message to respect
opponents, team mates and umpires and to ‘play hard, play fair’.
226 SECONDARY SCHOOLS
TOOK PART IN CHANCE TO
COMPETE IN 2012
Chance to Compete
Following a successful pilot
in 2011, this year the Chance
to Compete secondary
schools competition has
been expanded throughout
the country with nearly 250
schools getting involved. It
is aimed at the under 13 age
group and was designed to
give secondary state school
children an opportunity to play
hard-ball, competitive cricket.
Despite an extremely wet
summer, county and regional
finals produced four teams who
battled it out at the national
finals day at Moseley Cricket
Club in Birmingham: Brine
Leas School (Cheshire), Crown
Hills Community College
(Leicestershire), Sir Thomas
Rich’s School (Gloucestershire)
and Southborough High (Surrey).
The final itself came down to the
final ball with Brine Leas being
just pipped to the post by
Sir Thomas Rich’s.
Next year, we are aiming to roll
out this competition to the 600
secondary schools which are
part of the growing programme.
Importantly, this competition
helps both state schools that
previously played little or no
cricket and those which are better
equipped, but have previously
lacked a competitive stage.
Hospital Schools
The Cricket Foundation has
continued to run pioneering
cricket sessions at The
Children’s Hospital at Great
Ormond Street and Evelina
Children’s Hospital at St
Thomas’s Hospital in London.
Capital Kids Cricket coaches
Denise O’Neil and Ray Tudor
deliver weekly sessions for
children suffering from a wide
range of psychological and
physical trauma. The sessions
feature team work collaboration,
confidence building exercises
and the development of cricket
related skills, knowledge
and understanding.
Many of the youngsters who
get involved are dealing with life
threatening conditions, but all
take part, having fun, make new
friends and learn bat and ball
skills. The sessions help boost
the children’s self confidence and
esteem and are a welcome break
for many of the children from their
clinical treatments, counselling
and periods of isolation.
FUNDRAISING
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
We’ve had a packed events calendar this year including dinners, celebrity matches, and challenge events.
We increased our regional fundraising activity to include activity at international grounds around England.
With the help of over 50 volunteers including employees from BT and Man Group, over £10,000 was raised
at Lord’s, Headingley, the Kia Oval and the Emirates Durham ICG. Spectators donated in exchange for
wristbands. We would like to thank each of the grounds, MCC and the ECB for supporting this activity.
We would like to thank all our supporters including individual donors, sponsors, corporate
partners and Trusts & Foundations who have once again demonstrated their huge commitment
to Chance to Shine throughout 2012.
Individual Giving
From running ‘Iron Man’ races
to making ‘in memoriam’
donations, to joining our
new Guardianship scheme;
individual giving continues to
go from strength to strength.
We introduced two new individual
giving schemes this year. Both
have been fantastically well
received by existing and new
Cricket Foundation supporters.
Guardianship Scheme
The Cricket Foundation has
launched a new membership
scheme, through which donors
and companies can support
Chance to Shine or StreetChance
on a regular, long term basis.
Guardianship is available at
a range of levels, from Child
Guardian (which supports one
boy and one girl through the
programme) to Team, Class,
School, Project and County
Guardians. Members of the
scheme are rewarded with a
range of benefits, from Cricket
1000 and 100 Kids Clubs
These clubs offer donors the
opportunity to support 1,000
or 100 young people through
Chance to Shine for one year, by
making a donation of £15,000 or
£1,500 respectively. Existing Club
Members host dinners for friends,
colleagues and peers attended by
Chance to Shine Ambassadors,
offering guests a unique insight
into the cricketing world.
We held our first 1,000 Kids
Club Dinner in the Writing Room
Foundation mugs and key-rings
through to invitations to exclusive
Guardianship events. Guardians
receive regular updates on how
their support is enabling the
programmes to flourish.
We are delighted that since
the launch of the Guardianship
Scheme in summer 2012,
nearly 50 new Guardians have
pledged their long term support
to the Chance to Shine and
StreetChance programmes.
This stable, long term income
helps to guarantee the
continuation of the programme
over the coming years.
at Lord’s, with special guests
including Andy Flower, Michael
Atherton and England Team
Analyst Nathan Leamon, making
for a fascinating discussion
over dinner. The 100 Kids Club
was launched with lunch at
Rothschild’s, with John Emburey
providing humorous insights.
We plan to hold a number of
1,000 and 100 Kids Club events
throughout 2013.
“Chance to Shine is one
of the most important
developments in English
cricket in the past decade.”
George Dobell, Player Guardian
Some supporters went the extra
mile for the Cricket Foundation
this year. Richard Joyce, our
StreetChance Operations
Manager, ran 101 miles over
seven StreetChance cities raising
over £3,000 in the process.
Teams of Chance to Shine
runners also completed the
London Marathon, Brighton
Marathon, Great South Run,
Great Manchester Run and
Heroes Run raising vital funds
for Chance to Shine.
We also held two celebrity cricket
matches: the first was Challenge
the Legends which involved a
team of 16 - 18 year old cricketers
competing against a team of
cricketing legends at Bedford
School. The youngsters, selected
by a judging panel of the author
Bob Cattell, Charlotte Edwards
and MCC president Phillip
Hodson, challenged cricketers
including Alex Tudor, Greg
Matthews and Ebony Rainford-
Brent. Bob Cattell and Andy
Hawkes were the minds behind
We have been fortunate to
be the beneficiary charity of
a number of high profile events
this year, including James
Anderson’s benefit year, the
Richmond Green Cup, and
Live@Lloyds - the first ever
classical concert to be performed
in the Underwriting Room of
Lloyds of London. Mike Rodgers
and Richard Mander were the
driving force behind the event,
which raised money for Chance
to Shine and other charities.
the initiative, recruiting support
from a number of insurance firms
who each sponsored a young
cricketer to play.
The second match was a Jimmy
Anderson Celebrity XI v the
Royal Household Cricket Club
at Windsor Castle. Celebrity
players included Andrew Strauss,
Graeme Swann, Mark Nicholas,
ITV News anchor Mark Austin and
Timmy Mallett. Over 200 guests
enjoyed the settings of Windsor
Castle, with a 20 over game.
Chance to Dine
Celebrity cook-off, Chance
to Dine rounded off the
season. The event, hosted
by Mark Nicholas, involved
Alastair Cook, Allan Lamb,
Mike Gatting and Paul Nixon
all competing to deliver
the best dish to guests in
The Long Room at Lord’s.
Guided by a judging panel,
led by celebrity chef Ainsley
Harriott, guests voted for
their favourite with the
England Captain
emerging victorious.
GIRLS ON THE FRONT FOOT HAS ATTRACTED
OVER £165K IN DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS,
COMPANIES AND FOUNDATIONS.
Girls on the Front Foot
2012 saw the formation of the
Chance to Shine Girls’ Cricket
Board, a group of people
committed to sustaining and
expanding our work with girls
through Chance to Shine and
StreetChance.
The Board launched ‘Girls on
the Front Foot’ at Lord’s, at a
reception attended by over 150
people. The event garnered
wide press coverage including a
Cricket Foundation debut in OK!
Magazine, amongst many others.
The flagship Girls on the Front
Foot fundraising event was
a gala dinner at the Mansion
House, with guests enjoying
an evening in the magnificent
Georgian building, celebrating
the accomplishments of women
in all walks of life. Special guests
including FT columnist and
novelist Mrs Moneypenny, singer
Clare Teal and acclaimed lyricist
Sir Tim Rice. Planned activities
for 2013 include a City Women’s
Networking Breakfast and a
The Board is aiming to raise
The Big Give Christmas Challenge
This year we were delighted to
be selected as beneficiaries of
the Big Give, an online donation
challenge aimed at increasing
individual philanthropy. For a
set period in December, every
£1 donated online was match
funded, with all money raised
supporting Chance to Shine
disability projects. Thanks to
over half a million pounds
for the charity in the coming
years, which will be ringfenced
to our work empowering girls
through cricket. This year has
seen excellent progress towards
that target, with over £165k
in donations from individuals,
companies and Foundations
to date.
the generosity of our supporters,
we raised over £15,660,
supporting nearly 1,050 children
with special educational needs.
Our corporate partners have
continued to play an important
role in the delivery of our
programmes, not only from a
funding perspective, but also
through pro bono support and
volunteering opportunities.
Employees from Brit Insurance,
Pinsent Masons, Man Group,
Booz & Co and BT have all
been involved with a range of
activities this year.
The third year of our partnership with
Brit Insurance has again been hugely
trophy after five consecutive
years of settling for runners-up!
Thank you to all the teams who
entered this year, and we look
of young people each year. In
addition, Barclays employees
have volunteered their time for the
programme, providing invaluable
support at national competitions,
as well as delivering money
skills workshops to participants
across the country. StreetChance
alone has generated a PR value
of around £600,000 to Barclays
