RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES REPORT<br />
The Synagogue celebrated the holiday <strong>of</strong> Shavuot with a special dedication <strong>of</strong> our new torah.<br />
The purchase <strong>of</strong> this torah was made possible with funds from the Ida and Sadie Zimmerman<br />
Fund. It is a beautiful torah and very light-weight, enabling more members to take part in<br />
carrying or lifting the torah during services.<br />
If you have looked ahead in your calendar you may have noticed that the High Holy Days<br />
begin very early this year — to be exact, on Wednesday evening, September 4. Due to this<br />
early date, the Religious Activities Committee will be mailing out High Holiday packets on<br />
Wednesday, July 17.<br />
