MYP 5 Language A is a year-long literature-based speaking and writing course for sophomores. We will examine the
personal journeys of individuals within various societies and cultures, with a close look at characters’ choices and their
repercussions.
We will cover a variety of genres in our reading, and practice many different writing styles from personal and concise
journal entries to more expansive, formal essays. My hope is that through our journeys in literature, students will find
not only their individuality but also their “voice”.
