Growing People with Jesus and Others<br />
<strong>The</strong> heart of our <strong>Life</strong>groups are small<br />
gatherings of people where you can<br />
grow in your relationship with Jesus<br />
and others in a facilitated setting.<br />
We meet to do life together in a<br />
variety of ways. <strong>The</strong>re are Bible<br />
studies, specific topical studies,<br />
prayer groups and shared interest<br />
groups.<br />
Growing people with Jesus and<br />
others is a life-long adventure and<br />
happens differently for all of us. <strong>The</strong><br />
wonderful reality is we can all share<br />
in the goal of reaching our same<br />
destination.<br />
To assist you in finding the best fit for<br />
you, we have developed our<br />
<strong>Life</strong>groups in three groupings.<br />
Starting Point<br />
Starting Point is a conversational<br />
environment where people can<br />
explore faith and experience<br />
community. A great way to get to<br />
know one another and start your<br />
adventure at <strong>Life</strong>centre.<br />
Community Groups<br />
On-going groups that meet for the<br />
specific purpose of developing<br />
community. <strong>The</strong>se groups gather<br />
around a shared interest from<br />
growing in your marriage relationship<br />
to a weekly time of prayer and<br />
topical studies. Other groups focus<br />
on meeting together as young<br />
adults, ladies or men.<br />
Care Groups<br />
Our Care groups focus on specific<br />
needs, such as addiction recovery,<br />
divorce and sexual abuse.<br />
Take a look at the groups found in<br />
the following pages. If you require<br />
additional supporting in selecting a<br />
group, don’t hesitate to let us know.<br />

Starting Point <strong><strong>Life</strong>GROUP</strong><br />
Topic: A conversational environment where people<br />
can explore faith and experience community<br />
together. An ideal setting for people with questions<br />
about faith as well as those who want to learn about<br />
the Bible and Christianity. A welcoming small group<br />
where your opinions and beliefs will be valued.<br />

Pray About Which Group Is Best For<br />
You To Attend.<br />
Helpful First Time Group Tips<br />
• Introduce yourself to the leader of the Group.<br />
• Respect others opinions and thoughts.<br />
• Don’t interrupt others.<br />
• Ensure everyone has a chance to participate.<br />
• Once trust is developed, take a risk to be open and<br />
honest about your life.<br />
• Challenge yourself to grow (ie. if you have never<br />
prayed in public, ask to close a Group in prayer).<br />
• Have fun.<br />
Be mindful of the fact that some groups will be a<br />
better fit than others. It takes time to cultivate<br />
friendships and community. We recommend that you<br />
give each group no less than six weeks before<br />
deciding if it is a fit for you.<br />
