DIRECTIONS FOR USE
A specific sewer bait formulation solely for use in sewers and covered
drains. Each sachet contains 50 g of bait. Sorex Brodifacoum Sewer
Bait Sachets can kill rats after a single feed. It also controls rodent
strains resistant to some other anticoagulants. The resistance status of
the target population should be taken into account when considering
the choice of rodenticide to be used. Sorex Brodifacoum Sewer Bait
Sachets contain bittering agent, a human taste deterrent, to help prevent
accidental human consumption.
7.5 kg (150 x 50 g)
Sewer systems should be test baited on a regular basis e. g. annually,
and treatment made as necessary. For planning purposes a large scale
map of the sewers and storm water drains showing the position and
reference numbers of each manhole is required, together with a record
of the previous history of infestation at or near each manhole.
Bait all manholes in sections that have a history of infestations and also
2-3 manholes in either direction, including those in other sections. Also,
bait manholes close to known surface infestations. Where appropriate,
secure the bait sachet at its placement site to reduce the likelihood of its
removal by rodents or by surges of water.
Place 4 unopened sachets on the benching at each manhole.
For test baiting, use 1 unopened sachet. If found positive, increase the
quantity to 4 sachets.
Inspect baits and replenish as required until no further take is recorded.
Wild mammals and birds may be at greater risk if the product is not used
in accordance with the label.
