RE: Belmont Learning Center
Dear Ms. Cubas:
I write you to in regards to the construction of the Belmont Learning Center (BLC). My children
attend Logan Elementary School, and I am also the Title I parent representative.
As a parent and as a community member of Mr. Huizar’s district, I want to commend your office
for the leadership and support you have shown to our community in collaborating with us to
ensure that LAUSD finish the construction of the Belmont Learning Center (BLC). I want to ask
you for your continued support in assisting us in our fight to have our children attend school in
their neighborhood. Additionally, I would like to inform you that we want the BLC to be built in
the same site that LAUSD promised this community over 20 years ago. I also want to emphasize
that we also need additional schools to relieve the overcrowding and put an end to forced busing.
Once again, thank you for your support and leadership. Please keep me informed about your
steps and actions regarding the BLC. If you have any questions or you need community support
to advance these educational issues, please feel free to contact me at (213) 222-0000.
Sincerely yours,
Jane Doe
