4. Fill in the blanks below with an appropriate verb.<br />

I was riding to school when suddenly I heard a car. When I noticed who was in it, I was shocked.<br />

I quickly peddled the rest of the way so I could tell my friend. He was so surprised he started to<br />

shake. The rest of that day we continued to explain the story to people. Each time they had<br />

different reactions; one person spun down the hall, another sprinted all the way outside. That<br />

night, as I lay in bed, all I could think was about how cool today was. *Just an example, many<br />
