The User Interface
FROM AUTOPANO TOUR
TO PANOTOUR AND PANOTOUR PRO
Autopano Tour, which used to be a virtual tour module
included in the image-stitching software Autopano Giga,
achieves an important technological leap to Panotour 1.5.
The user interface remains very intuitive and easy to use. It is
diveded into 4 parts, which enable the linking of the views,
the edition of hotspots, the customization of the tour and a
3D preview.

GRAPHICAL CUSTOMIZATION OF A TOUR
The graphical theme of the virtual tour has the following structure: an
assembly of icons that activate the functions and options (movement,
fullscreen, autorotation, help), a help screen and hotspots (still or
animated).
The users can apply a global color to each theme, and the Pro users
have the option to change the colors of the elements within each
theme.
MAIN PANEL/ CENTRAL WINDOW LOCATED AT THE TOP
LEFT CORNER
The Central window is meant to regroup and allow the visualization of
all elements belonging to a project (panoramas and hotspots) and to
allow the user to individually select them in order to edit their
properties.
The panoramas are displayed as large thumbnails, the hotspots by
small circles or triangles and the links between each individual views
are symbolized by directional arrows.

THE PROJECT PROPERTIES PANEL LOCATED AT THE TOP RIGHT CORNER
The Properties tabs regroup settings acting on the elements selected in the Central window.
If no element is selected, the settings inside the tabs are unavailable. When multiple elements are
selected, the settings that are not common to all the selected elements are displayed in grey but
can still be edited.
The main properties of the software are the following: Interface, Little Planet Introduction, Logo,
Plan, Font, Sound, Thumbnails, Quick Export, Restricted License, Hotspots properties, some of
which are completely new:
- The new feature “Little Planet Introduction” opens the virtual tour under the shape of a small
planet.
- The “Plan” function can now be displayed by default at the launch and may disappear
automatically while another action is done by the user.
- The new “Thumbnails” function allows to go from a panorama to another and it can be displayed
on any side of the window.
- The “Rapid Export” allows to drag and drop images from a folder to the software.
The “View Parameters” enable the users to visually set the maximal and the minimal zoom limits.
Users can now restrict the publishing of a tour to a list of authorized websites, if they want to
prevent the copy of their tour.
The “Sound” function allows the adding of a music into each panorama composing the tour.
The “Logo” function allows the insertion of a logo that opens a web link when clicking on it.

THE LOWER PANELS ALLOWING THE GRAPHICAL EDITING OF THE PANORAMA
The Hotspots Editor Window has 4 hotspots: add a polygon, add a rectangle, add a point, add a lens flare and the possibility to crop the image, in the
case of an incomplete panorama in order to remove the black space. The hotspots allow to create a link between two panoramas, go directly to a
website, write a note or insert an object. The more recent hotspot, the rectangle, also allows the uploading of a video. There is also a possibility to
open a webpage directly into the virtual tour and not just create a direct weblink.
The 3D Editor Window allows the visualization of the tour, defining its zoom levels and has three steps for setting the quality of the preview.
