The January 2012 figures show an overall increasing trend in the numbers of
Early Years children from 3-4 years to 0-1 years. This indicates that the number
of reception year pupils will continue to rise at least until 2014/15.
As a result of these rising birth rates coupled with net inward migration and new
housebuilding in Area 8, it is forecast that there will be a shortfall of approximately
28 reception places in September 2014.
