What is the KHAKI IT! SCHOOL CHALLENGE?<br />
<strong>Khaki</strong> is more than a colour... It’s an att<strong>it</strong>ude! It’s a stand to do something pos<strong>it</strong>ive in our<br />
world and a passion to make a difference. And when you make a difference – you KHAKI IT!<br />
<strong>Khaki</strong> is the symbol of <strong>Steve</strong> <strong>Irwin</strong>, the original Crocodile Hunter and Wildlife Warrior.<br />
At Australia Zoo and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, we continue the legacy of<br />
Conservation, Family and Fun that Stevo created – and every day – we KHAKI IT!<br />
We want you to make a difference and KHAKI IT! at your school, in celebration<br />
of <strong>Steve</strong> <strong>Irwin</strong> <strong>Day</strong>!<br />
The challenge is to show us, through photographs, a short DVD and one page report, how<br />
your school is making a difference to wildlife, hab<strong>it</strong>at and/or the local environment. Your<br />
challenge is to also conduct a day of fundraising for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors to help<br />
continue the legacy of <strong>Steve</strong> <strong>Irwin</strong>.<br />
There are fantastic prizes up for grabs for the most innovative school and the highest<br />
fundraising school… so come on, KHAKI IT!<br />
Revegetate a local commun<strong>it</strong>y<br />
space - that’s KHAKI’ing IT!<br />
Conduct an energy aud<strong>it</strong> -<br />
then take action. KHAKI IT!<br />
KHAKI IT! by planting native<br />
trees and become a wildlife<br />

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?<br />
There are two prize categories:<br />
Category 1: Most Innovative <strong>School</strong><br />
Category 2: Highest Fundraising <strong>School</strong><br />
The winning school in each category will WIN:<br />
• FREE ENTRY to Australia Zoo for three teachers and up to 30 students*<br />
w<strong>it</strong>h a free behind the scenes tour of the Australian Wildlife Hosp<strong>it</strong>al on <strong>Steve</strong> <strong>Irwin</strong> <strong>Day</strong><br />
(15 November 2010) – total value of $1,860!<br />
• Special acknowledgement certificate signed by Terri, Bindi and Robert <strong>Irwin</strong><br />
(great to hang in your school foyer!)<br />
• <strong>Steve</strong> <strong>Irwin</strong> <strong>Day</strong> certificate and gift for each participating student (up to 30 students)<br />
• One year Zoo Club membership for each participating student (up to 30 students)<br />

The runner up school/class in each category will WIN:<br />

give wildlife a new home<br />
• A Wildlife Warrior pack for each participating student (up to 30 students),<br />
