Grand Rapids<br />
The <strong>Jewish</strong> <strong>Federation</strong> of Grand Rapids Lions of<br />
Judah gathered for a dinner with guest speaker Sue<br />
Fishkoff of the JTA, prior to joining 50 women for the<br />
Women’s Division Campaign kickoff event. Grand<br />
Rapids proudly counts 12 Lion of Judah women in our<br />
community. Their inspiration and leadership play a<br />
tremendous role in the <strong>Federation</strong>’s success.<br />

Greensboro<br />
The Greensboro <strong>Jewish</strong> <strong>Federation</strong> is proud to have<br />
44 Lions of Judah dedicated to making a difference in<br />
Greensboro, in Israel and around the world. The<br />
Greensboro Lion of Judah program has welcomed one<br />
new Lion so far in the 2010 Campaign and one new<br />
endowed LOJE gift. The Greensboro Lions take great<br />
pride in seeing one of their own, Kathy Manning,<br />
become chair of the Board of Directors of The <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
<strong>Federation</strong>s of North America.<br />
On November 5, 2009, Greensboro Lions and the<br />
Ben Gurion Society (men giving $10K and above) welcomed<br />
Israeli Minister of Welfare and Social Services<br />
Isaac Herzog at a private lunch and leadership briefing<br />
chaired by long-time Lion Joy Shavitz. Minister Herzog,<br />
who was joined by his wife, Michal, enhanced our<br />
understanding of the relationship between Israel and the<br />
Diaspora.<br />
Campaign chairs shared their "case for giving" and<br />
the event saw many increased gifts, proving that donors<br />
are continuing to stretch to help make the 2010 GJF<br />
Campaign a successful one.<br />

Greenwich<br />
Dr. Orna Blondheim, director of the Emek Medical<br />
Center in Afula, Israel, visited Greenwich, CT on October<br />
14, 2009. She visited the Greenwich Hospital and met<br />
with UJA <strong>Federation</strong> of Greenwich leadership. Dr.<br />
Blondheim thanked Women’s Division President<br />
Marlene Gilbert on behalf of Dr. Judith Antonelli, SNEC
