According to Eric Blot who writes in his excellent book Liuteria Italiana 1860 - 1890 Camillo Mandelli<br />

was a pupil of Leandro Bisiach between 1890 - 95 before emigrating to Argentina in 1899. He returned<br />

to Italy in 1920 where he collaborated with the Bisiach family. Finally moving to Sesto San Giovanni,<br />

where he worked until his death in1956. This cello was made in Buenos Aires in 1917<br />
