<strong>Shotblast</strong><br />
<strong>Angelus</strong> <strong>Co</strong>ncrete Masonry Units
<strong>Angelus</strong> <strong>Shotblast</strong> <strong>CMU</strong><br />
<strong>Shotblast</strong> units provide a roughened, weathered<br />
appearance with some aggregate exposure.<br />
Precision cmu are processed through a machine<br />
that propels shot media against each unit to create<br />
the texture.<br />
Aggregate exposure is very random, as the amount<br />
and type of aggregate that rests close to the<br />
surface will vary greatly from unit to unit.<br />
The outcome is a unique blend of units providing<br />
the character and human scale of masonry.<br />
Please note the depth of the texture will vary from<br />
unit to unit. The force of the blasting is relatively<br />
static, whereas the surface hardness of each unit<br />
varies slightly enough for variation in the degree of<br />
the blast effect. We recommend a heavy blast for<br />
best results.<br />
Most precision units may be shot blast, including<br />
open end and bond beam configurations, as well<br />
as double open ends. This allows for freedom in<br />
design, structurally and aesthetically.<br />
The shot blast texture is available on special<br />
order. Please consult with your <strong>Angelus</strong> <strong>Block</strong><br />
representative for specific information.
