OVERVIEW
As part of our continuing mission to build strong kids, strong families
and strong communities, the Sarasota Y’s summer camp programs are the
premier activities for your child to belong to this summer. Through games,
sport instruction, climbing, art, creative drama, kayaking, hiking, swimming,
and/or field trips, your child will develop social skills, good values, and an
active body. Older children can become junior lifeguards or take part in a
leadership camp. Whether you choose an outdoor adventure camp, sports
camp or our traditional day camp, our programs create a fun atmosphere
for your child to actively participate in a wide range of activities, all while
incorporating our character development program.
CAMP STAFF
our main priority. Our camp coordinators and counselors complete at least
20 hours of training, including adult and child CPR and first aid. All of our
staff must complete a full background screening and drug testing
to qualify for employment.
