Still to come…September 7th
Liberty University’s
“Crimson Flood”
Welcome to Purcellville Baptist Church! We are thrilled you have joined us today to
worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Do you know that God wants to bless you? Today we will learn about the blessing that
God wants to give us: the kingdom of Heaven. How am I sure of this? Jesus blessed the
children in Mark 10:13-16. He asked us to “bless those who curse you” in Luke 6:28. He
told the disciples to say “peace to this house” when he sent them out in Luke 10:5. Jesus
wants to send the blessing of the kingdom to all who believe in Him.
You can be a blessing to others also. When you go out to greet your neighbors on
September 6 to invite them to our Grand Opening, you can bless them by letting the
light of Jesus shine through you. If we are focused on Jesus Christ, then we will be a
blessing to others.
Be a blessing to those around you! Greet others with a smile and let them see that you
are focused on Jesus. And don’t forget to sign up for the Sept. 6 neighborhood outreach,
so your neighbors can come and hear about the love of Jesus on September 14!
May Jesus bless each heart who responds in love and serves Him.
DEACON candidate
Harry Redman accepted Jesus Christ as Savior
and Lord in 2001. Harry grew up in West Virginia
where he met his wife Becky. They are blessed
with three children: Brock, Cole, and Merrill.
Harry came to PBC in 2005. He has a passion
to serve, offering his time in the Working
Hands ministry, Guest ministry, and as a Home
Group Leader. Harry is fond of saying: “The
Lord’s kingdom is the land of opportunity. He sets the table with new
adventures each day. Our job is to live out those adventures according to His
will.” A favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 7:1, “Since we have these promises
dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body
and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”
Harry is a Deacon Candidate. The Biblical qualifications for Deacons are
found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. If you have affirmation or objection to Harry’s
candidacy as a Deacon, please email elders@purbap.org or send a note to the
Church Office addressed to the Elders.
