Overview<br />
An exciting position has just become available working with <strong>UNICEF</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong> at 33 Ormond<br />
Quay, Dublin 1. <strong>UNICEF</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong> is the Irish National Committee for <strong>UNICEF</strong>.<br />
The successful candidate will contribute <strong>to</strong> the day <strong>to</strong> day operations of the Irish National<br />
Committee, dedicated <strong>to</strong> promoting children’s rights, and fundraising for the development of<br />
children’s well-being in over 190 countries around the world.<br />
As <strong>PA</strong> you will help coordinate the time and administration of the <strong>Executive</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r.<br />
Responsible also for <strong>Office</strong> Management, this role will support the <strong>UNICEF</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong> office coordinating<br />
office and stationary requirements, support and maintenance of IT, printers and<br />
telephony systems and general support <strong>to</strong> ensure smooth running of a busy office and<br />
fundraising environment.<br />
Required for an immediate start, this is initially a 12 month contract position with a view <strong>to</strong><br />
extending after 12 months.<br />
Tasks and responsibilities as <strong>PA</strong>:<br />
Extensive diary management for <strong>Executive</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r<br />
Managing travel bookings for <strong>Executive</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r and other team members as<br />
required<br />
Co-ordinating field trip requirements / liasing with <strong>UNICEF</strong> Country <strong>Office</strong>s <strong>to</strong> plan<br />
field trip and moni<strong>to</strong>ring trips as required<br />
Managing all administrative requirements for the <strong>Executive</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r<br />
Preparation of Board Reports and Minutes for Board Meetings<br />
General administrative duties as required <strong>to</strong> support the busy fundraising office<br />
Liaising with accountant and supporting this role as required in book keeping and<br />
financial administrative duties<br />
Answering telephones and responding <strong>to</strong> donor queries in support of the donor<br />
services team<br />
Be prepared <strong>to</strong> undertake any other tasks as may arise<br />
<strong>Office</strong> management duties<br />
Day <strong>to</strong> day management of office<br />
Ordering and s<strong>to</strong>ck management of office supplies, including stationary, business<br />
cards, printer <strong>to</strong>ners, and general office requirements (house-keeping)<br />
Maintenance of office and dealing with landlord, support services, cleaners, etc<br />
Managing costs of day <strong>to</strong> day running the office
Profile of Candidate:<br />

Have similar experience in a <strong>PA</strong> role at CEO/MD level<br />
Have experience of managing a busy office environment<br />
Have strong accounts experience and a strong aptitude for figures<br />
Be highly organised with demonstrable high-level of attention <strong>to</strong> detail<br />
Be able <strong>to</strong> work on own initiative but also as part of a busy team<br />
Be extremely computer literate, high level of competence in MS Word and Excel and<br />
in Powerpoint<br />
Have strong written and verbal communication skills – high fluency in spoken and<br />
written English<br />
