Parks & Facilities<br />
The Department <strong>of</strong> Parks & Recreation strives to <strong>of</strong>fer a safe,<br />
and enjoyable experience for the whole community. An<br />
abundance <strong>of</strong> well maintained parks and quality facilities<br />
located throughout the city are available for all to enjoy.<br />
We <strong>of</strong>fer many indoor and outdoor facilities. Our rental<br />
facilities are nestled within beautiful neighborhood parks, and<br />
are available to accommodate various sized gatherings at<br />
reasonable prices. The picnic areas are fully equipped with<br />
tables, benches and barbeque grills, and our equipped<br />
playgrounds <strong>of</strong>fer safe, fun filled days for the children. The<br />
department’s tennis courts, basketball courts, and<br />
recreational fields for football, baseball and soccer, for<br />
organized sports or for <strong>pub</strong>lic access are also available for<br />
outdoor recreation. During the warm summer months, North<br />
Side swimming pool <strong>of</strong>fers a day <strong>of</strong> low cost aquatic fun for the<br />
entire family. The city also owns and operates the Henry<br />
Stambaugh Municipal Golf Course, 9 holes <strong>of</strong> challenging golf<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered at below average prices.<br />
