NOTICE
It is brought to the notice of all concerned that Mis GOLDSTONE CEMENTS LIMITED
has proposed for setting up a CEMENT PLANT (CLINKER-l. 65 MTP A, CEMENT- 2.54'
MTPA) ALONGWITII CAvnVE POWEI~ PLANT (2x20MW) at MUSIANG LAMARE VILLAGE in
RYMBAI ELAKA, JAINTIA HILLS DISTRICT. The Company has applied for prior Environmental
Clearance from the the Central Covernment in the Ministry of Environment & Forests as
required under the E.I.A. Notification No. S.0.1533, dated 14th September 2006.
In pursuance to the prOVIsIOns of Para 7(i) III of the above Notification, the
Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board hereby informs that a PUBJ.lC I fEARING WILL BE
HELD AT THE PROJECTSITE AT MUSIANG LAMARE VILLAGE in RVMBAI ELAKA, JATNTIA HILLS
DISTRICT on the 4TH SHTI~MBER 2009 from 11:00 AM ONWARDS to record the views,
suggestions, objections, etc. put forward by the concerned local affected persons.
Persons desirous of participating in the Public Hearing may go through the
Summary Environmental ImpaCt Assessment report of the said Project which will be
available both in English and Khasi at the following places:-

2. The Office of the S.D.O. (Civil), Khliehriat Sub-Division, Khliehriat, Jaintia Hills

The Summary Environmental Impact Assessment report of the said Project has also
been uploaded on the internet in the Meghalaya State Portal - www.meghalaya.nic.in for
viewing by all desirous persons.

. In this regard, the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board invites suggestions,
comments and objections on the matter relatinr, to the environmental aspects of the
proposed Project from all local affected persons and others who have plausible stake in
the environmental impact of the project. Persons who desires to submit their views,
comments, objections, etc. in writing may send the same by Registered Post to the
Member Secretary, Mer,halaya State Pollution Control Board, ,Al~.DEN', Lumpynr,nr,ad,
Shillong-793014, so as to reach within 30 (thirty) days from the date of issue of this Notice.
Persons interested to submit their views only orally must do so durinr, the Public Hearinr,
to be held at the place and date mentioned above.
For further clarifications in the matter, the Member Secretary, Mer,halaya State
Pollution Control13oard may be contacted.
Suggestions, comments, objections, etc. on this project will not be entertained after
the Public Hearing.
