ept Inc. has launched Colibri, a new surface mount board-toboard<br />
connector designed to meet the specifications for PICMG<br />
COM Express ® . The Colibri connector system is designed to be both<br />
rugged and flexible. Colibri is a double-row connector system consisting<br />
of a socket and plug. The two components each have a pitch<br />
dimension of 0.5 millimetres and are produced using SMT technology.<br />
Colibri connectors feature 220 pins, but the number can be individually<br />
configured as required. ept gives its customers additional flexibility<br />
by offering Colibri products that are compatible with all common<br />
connectors available on the market. Colibri connectors from ept<br />
meet all requirements of the PICMG COM Express ® , SFF-SIG Core<br />
Express ® and nanoETXexpress standards. The Colibri model with<br />
an overall height of eight millimetres is the first in the range with<br />
further versions in various heights and pin numbers to follow in<br />
due course.<br />

Wide Input DC/DC Power Supplies with -40° to +85°C Operation<br />
The PCM-DC-AT512 is one of three different PC/104 wide input<br />
range, DC/DC power supplies. The input voltage range for the units<br />
is from 10 to 50V DC which allows them to work with 12, 24, or 48V<br />
battery operated or distributed DC power systems. All versions<br />
will operate from -40° to +85°C with no fans or heat sinks, and<br />
are well suited for applications including pipelines, transportation,<br />
communications, solar power, and military.<br />
The standard output voltage for the PCM-DC-AT500 is +5V @ 20A. The<br />
triple output PCM-DC-AT512’s voltages are +5V @ 20A, +12V @ 3A,<br />
and -12V @ 0.5A. Also a PC/104-Plus unit called the PPM-DC-ATX,<br />
provides +5V, +3.3V, +12V, -12V and +5V standby output plus signals<br />
for suspend and sleep modes.<br />
