Welcome to our 11th Annual Arizona Fine Art EXPO! I love this time of year! The joy of Thanksgiving has only just left us, Christmas is round the corner and the Arizona art season is in full swing—we are only weeks away from EXPO2015. The artists, who have spent the summer months exhibiting at festivals and galleries across America, are finally assembling in our state for the Arizona Fine Art EXPO and I cannot wait. Artists and art play a hugely important role in society today. The visual medium by which their stories are told is compelling and vital to our society. It is these people who are the history keepers and a showcase of their work is our way of keeping these stories alive. Whether through realism or abstraction, memories are kept, events captured and emotions translated that not even words could express. I am lucky enough to say I’ve been involved in the arts for 34 years, of which the last 11 have included the Arizona Fine Art EXPO. I have watched artists transform from emerging to renowned; I have seen their artwork morph from an idea on paper, into a beautiful bronze or even a drawing on a napkin sketched that day in the EXPO café transform into a painting that stood 72 x48. I am honored that the artists have placed their trust in me and the Arizona Fine Art EXPO partnership of my husband Roger, my brother Dennis and my sister-in-law, Judy. Last season was fabulous, and it was through events such as Artists’ Garden Parties that we ensured new artists and patrons decorated their homes with some poignant and remarkable works of art. This year, we wanted to make sure we bought together as many genres and mediums as possible, to ensure that everyone would find a piece of art that left an incredible impact upon them, that genuine aesthetic pleasure. I can assure you there is something for everyone, this is what makes EXPO2015 the flagship for art in Arizona.
