This <strong>directory</strong> has been put in place to assist all people within <strong>school</strong>s and the <strong>community</strong><br />
to access sport & activity within the local area. This <strong>directory</strong> has been compiled by the<br />
School Sports Partnership (SSP) & Gloucester City Council. It compliments the Active<br />
Gloucestershire club <strong>directory</strong> for the whole county.<br />
This edition of the <strong>community</strong> <strong>directory</strong> will offers access to many of the <strong>community</strong> styled<br />
clubs and activities in the area & useful contacts. This includes basic access to various<br />
activities & <strong>school</strong>s which are generally open to the communities they serve.<br />
We are offering a basic level of information on the activity, club, group, which should be<br />
useful for all who need to make contact. We currently have little influence on how a<br />
<strong>community</strong> club operates, their child protection policies, CRB checks, please bear this in<br />
mind and rather than recommend a club, only offer the information as signposting.<br />
All publications such as these include information that may be quickly out of date,<br />
nevertheless in the future we will have a website version that will be updated on a regular<br />
basis.<br />

GLOUCESTER CITY & SOUTH TEWKESBURY SSP:<br />
This SSP is 1 of 5 <strong>school</strong> sport partnerships (SSP) within Gloucestershire. Schools are<br />
grouped into small clusters, the general format has one Secondary with its feeder primary<br />
<strong>school</strong>s. Partnership Development Managers (PDM’s) lead the SSP with all secondary<br />
<strong>school</strong>s employing <strong>school</strong> sports co-ordinators (SSCo) based within these <strong>school</strong>s, and<br />
within Further Education Colleges to offer more educational sports learning for all young<br />
people between 5-19.<br />
