actiV Cart Box
The actiV Cart Box turns a video server into a multi-channel cart
machine. With its straightforward operator interface, it mimics the
operation of the familiar Betacart operator's control panel with access
to 100s of pre-recorded video clips. The actiV Cart Box is effective
for any server application that requires instant access to pre-recorded
video material including news, game shows, sports shows, talk/variety
shows and master control.

It can run multiple play lists, loops, individual or fill & key clips. Clips are
prepared to play on specific channels and assigned to programmable
shot keys arranged in 10 banks. The actiV Cart Box controls VTRs with
easy frame-accurate transfer from tape to disk and vice versa.

Options
Shot Box Edit—Drag-and-drop integration for actiV Cart Box that
streamlines on-air operations. It is an integrated Windows-based
software application for composing, revising and viewing shot lists
before loading them into the actiV Cart Box. The software allows clips
stored on a server to be dragged onto "Shot Keys" for instant clip
play out.
The interface provided by Shot Box Edit resembles that of the actiV
Cart Box, clips can be imported into Shot Box Edit from a number
of sources—the server itself, downloaded from an automation list or
from clips or cues created on the actiV Cart Box. Clips are selected
individually, or in groups, using the mouse and dragged across to the
on-screen Shot Keys.
The panel Shot Keys legends instantly update to show their new
assignments. Shots are arranged in one of 10 shot lists, each
containing up to 70 shots arranged on any of 4 playback channels.

Shot lists can be saved and copied to other applications such as
spreadsheets and word documents. With Shot Box Edit, operators
can quickly assign items to actiV Cart Box keys, then load and play
clips as required.
