“I wanted acompany who hadthe engineeringability, couldprovide reliableequipment andoffer a servicewhich couldachieve ourdesired result”Richard mccluremanaging directormcclure timberBasingstoke based <strong>Gordian</strong><strong>Strapping</strong>; one of the UK’sleading end of line specialists inpackage and pallet securementhave provided a system solutionfor Sheffied based timbermerchants, <strong>McClure</strong> <strong>Timber</strong>Supplies – the integration ofa tall pallet stretch hooderfitted on to the end of theirpackaging line facility.Standing 6300mm from the floor, it is thetallest OMS manufactured stretch hoodingmachine in the UK.Pack security and presentation issueswere problems that <strong>McClure</strong> faced and,with space at a premium, a high level ofengineering knowledge and ingenuity wererequired to find a solution that met theclients’ needs with a minimum of fussand down-time.The team at <strong>Gordian</strong> <strong>Strapping</strong> fitted anOMS manufactured <strong>IS43</strong> off the conveyorcentre line because of space restrictionsand incorporated a specially designedshuttle conveyor to enable the packages tobe positioned correctly for hooding.
