Available for:ClassAHeadend Control UnitHMSApplicationThe HMS-120 unit provide advanced remote control features forClassA headends. These features include sending alarms via SMS,detecting RF levels of the headend multichannel output signal, automatically equalising these levels and the possibility of schedulingparameter settings, generating OSD messages and updatingfirmwares. The HMS units include a web server which allows the control operationto be performed from any local or remote PC using a standardbrowser. The control unit is positioned in the ClassA headend as the lastmodule on the right of the cascade of signal modules (processors, receivers, transmodulators, regenerators). The installation of thecommunication local bus (IKUSUP) along the modules is required, aswell as the connection of a tapped signal from the HPA amplifier tothe HMS control unit.Access InterfacesThe HMS control units have two interfaces for remote communication:• A GSM/GPRS interface which uses an internal modem to performcontrol operations from any remote PC connected to the modemtelephone number. A slot on the front panel allows to insert the SIMcard.• An Ethernet interface which, via an external modem/router, allowsmonitoring from any remote PC connected to Internet. If the headendis installed in a LAN environment, the control operations can beperformed from any PC integrated therein. The interface also allowslocal use of a PC connected directly connected to the HMS module.MODELHMS-120REF. 4435SOFTWAREOperation software embeddedWeb serverInternal GSM/GPRS modemHTTP and support for SNMP v2Access passwordMulti-language support (english, spanish, french)MONITORING/PROGRAMMINGMonitoring/Programming of headend through a web browserIdentification of the headend and dates of interventionsReading of the RF level outgoing from each signal moduleReading of the RF levels of the multichannel signal outgoing from the headendEqualization of the RF multichannel signal outgoing from the headendScheduling of parameter settings, OSD messages and firmware updatesStatisticiansAutomatic alarm advertisements via SMSConfiguration of the HMS module through a PCREADING OF MODULES’ RF OUTPUT LEVELSFrequency range : 45-862 MHzRange of levels : 55-90 dBµVAccuracy of the reading : ±1.5 dBµVGSM/GPRS MODEMFrequency range:GSM900 Tx: 880-915MHz ,, Rx: 925-960MHzGSM1800 Tx: 1710-1785MHz ,, Rx: 1805-1880MHzThreshold: < -102 dBmRF output power : 2W (GSM900) , 1W (GSM1800)Frontal slot for SIM cardAntenna — 7cm height, 50 Ω impedanceREADING OF LEVEL OF MULTICHANNEL SIGNAL TAPPED FROM HEA-DEND RF OUTPUTFrequency range : 45-862 MHzRange of levels : 55-90 dBµVAccuracy of the reading : ±1.5 dBµVPUERTO ETHERNET DE COMUNICACIÓNEstándar : IEEE 802.3 10/100 BaseTVelocidad : hasta 100 MbpsProtocolo de transmisión : TCP/IP‘TERMINAL’ PORTElectrical interface : V28/RS-232LOCAL COMMUNICATION BUSElectrical interface : RS-485 differential pair, full-duplexProtocol : IKUSUPMain feature : Automatic assignation of addresses to the modules of theheadendCONNECTORSGSM antenna : FMERF input (headend output’s tapping) : female FLocal bus : 2x 4-pin socketMonitoring : RJ-45Terminal : DB-9GSM modem card : SIM socketRF output (loop-through) : 2x F femaleDC : banana socketsPeripheral accessories : USBINDICATOR LEDSPOWERSTATUSGSM (GSM link)ALARMLINK (ethernet link)ACT (ethernet activity)GENERALSupply voltage : +12 VDCConsumption : 600 mAOperating temperature : 0° to +45°CDimensions : 230 x 195 x 32 mmApplication example:Pág. 1252HeadendsIKUSI · CATALOGUE 201373
